I've always viewed this song as being about a bad relationship in which the female simply won't let the male go. She does everything to keep him, including getting pregnant, and he feels so lost and helpless that he begins to thing the only way out may be to kill her. It's a struggle for him because he has to A) get it through her head that he's finished with her, and B) Come to terms with being a father when he didn't plan on becoming a father. When you consider the crying baby that comes in on Cesaro Summability, this interpretation works for me...
