this song proves tool are masters of their trade, maybe even beyond masters.
i have no music theory under my belt, but by my ear, they stop and rebuild the climax of the song multiple times. each time becoming more powerful. its almost like danny, adam, and justin are one individual. (or as i think sometimes, a musical machine)
as for maynard, his singing as usual is outstanding, but lyrically this song is powerfully thought provoking.
i dont know if i agree that its better than all songs on the lateralus album. but i can imagine if aenima is your favorite album, then that statement would be true.

I wouldn't say that it's better than some of the songs on Lateralus, but as far as the new album goes, it is definitely a track that stands out. The way the song shifts and then builds is killer. It get's orgasmic around 6.00....It has a frantic vibe that hits me every time. I love the way Danny and Justin lock-in and Adam ain't too shabby on this one either. It's my favorite song on 10K, with Jambi coming in at a close 2nd.
