I can't believe schools actually care about ACT/SAT scores. I hope its just a technicality that no one really pays attention to, because I thought the ACT's were a total waste of time and money.
Note: I don't remember if I had to actually pay for the test, but I did have to drive there, so either way it was a waste of money.

Unfortunately schools DO look at SAT scores. (and crappier schoools look at ACT scores). A high score isn't based on pure intelligence. It's based on a combination of test taking skills, intelligence, general knowlege, vocabulary, etc. Oddly enough I think it's a great indicator for how someone will do at college. So, lets say you're smart but you cant take a test for shit? Well guess what, you'll most likely fuck up in college because it's all tests. Unless you're an english major i suppose.. but anyways. It all makes sense, really...
