I think that the parabola, as a graphic, you know the X and the Y axis is more a separation than an eternal embrace, because they both start together, in the 0 point, and then (if you are loking at an upward or downward parabola) as the Y keeps growing the X slows down and there is a point were it can't see were the Y went.
And if you see this as a body and spirit relation being X, body, you will notice tha the body has a limit and the spirit does not, wich is the buddhist belief who also say that life is just a stage and that we are eternal and pain is and ilusion and many other similar thoughts that can relate tho the song, more than christian belief.
