I listened to this song recently, and heard it as if for the first time.
God, what a fucking hopeless and depressing mess. This is really Maynard at his lowest. It's a punch to the gut. I think only Prison Sex tops it in terms of subject matter (and that even has a somewhat catchy sound to it!), with Pushit maybe a close third.
Did anyone else have the emotional reaction I did? I mean, Maynard's screams here really get me.
