Any one heard the jerk off demo?
Any one thing it sounds better than the studio edit?
i tend to think exquistely when this song is played

Where, exactly, is this, "studio edit," that you're talking about?

AFAIK, Tool has never released a Studio version of Jerk-Off. The version included on Opiate is live, and was recorded on 12.31.1991 @ The Jello Loft.

Yes, I have heard the demo and yes, it rocks.

When was the demo originally recorded?I don't know, but I would assume before Opiate was released.

there was a demo tape going around i think in '92. i picked it up at a Failure show in phoenix. it had demos of jerk-off, sober, part of me, and crawl away. although the demo version of jerk-off kicked ass, the live version from new years eve was incredible

lt was recorded early in '92, right before Opiate came out. Failure is awesome...l like their version of The Nurse Who Loved Me. lt's good. Well...it's theirs too. Hah.
