The song in general has the D-R feel, but the eastern drumming here is fabulous. I love when they throw stuff like this out there. It may not be "new" as we've heard the tabla before, but how many bands - not even talking mainstream, just general - integrate the music of far-off lands with their own? It's great.

doubt aloke did anything on the album per TB, no outside artists on album. Unless Aloke is member of TOOL now, which he may be!

The tabla is Danny. Not only has Danny learned how to play tabla over the years, but the style is very distinctly not Aloke Dutta, and very distinctly Danny. Aloke is a lighter player, Danny is more deep and quick.

Yeah, the hands playing these tablas are pretty big, and a little clumsy around 3:40 - I'd guess it's Danny.
