this makes me believe that TOOL are screwing with us. TOOL explicitly stated that during the LATERALUS release, people ran out and registered domains with the fake track names (and this is WHY TOOL released the fake track names).

It makes sense to me that if 10000 DAYS was *really* the title, TOOL would already own the domain name, instead of letting it go to some teenie-bopper kiddie

You're quite right. I think this pretty much proves that the new album is not going to be "10,000 days". Blair shed his cryptic shit viel in one older post and said that they had already bought the domain names for all the track names and the album, so as to prevent awsome haxz0rzz from fucking with us 1337 toolfans who are dumb as fucking brick walls.

Note the "Created on" date is February 15th. That was WAY before blair announced 10,000 days as the album name. This either means that someone close to the band or the band themselves registered it when they decided to name it that, or that someone else on earth had a good reason to register the domain. I can't tell who registered it, because it was registered through Domains By Proxy, kinda like teleincision.com... It's very unlikely however that this is a similar case since 10,000 days wasn't realeased for an album name until just recently.

This might just be the definitive proof we need.

This might just be the definitive proof we need.

Or maybe they figured out how to get a step ahead of the people who want to register the titles for themselves. Since Tool said they released fake ones before Lateralus in an attempt to cost these types of people money, maybe those same people are cautious about trying to register fake names. Tool announce this title, and already have the domain registered, but then they reveal some fake song titles without registering the domains. See, if people see 10000days.com is registered already, they would think it was real, so they'd definitely try to register the track titles that follow.

yea, but the problem was that 10000 Days was registered a long ass time ago

before the band had decided the album title, according to all pertinent interviews...

but it's not too long ago. Maybe they decided right before they left for overseas but decided to keep hushhush about it

So I guess one of my posts was deleted along with a thread or something? Yeah, maybe I'm just not around enough to appreciate the process of how the board operates, but I've never liked the layout here to begin with, so at this point, it sucks that the 10k days site is down. I may be wrong but can't you use any company to register a domain name? Of course seeing as the 10000days.com was registed in Feb then Dan could have tried to get that one, found it was taken and just used the same company that was listed to register his 10000-days.com?

10000-days.com was a money making machine for the guy who ran it. There was no content, BUT Google Ads, plus you could pre-order the album on the mainpage and that surely brought the guy alot of funds, since the domain 10000-days.com is pretty attractive.

Toolnavy is great, but there's too much members for my taste, so if your looking for something more quiet, The Pot could be your new home.

Read the news post so you know why i actually created it. Its up to the fans where they discuss Tool. The Pot is just another place. I will do my best to keep it clean.. if actually anyone cares to visit it.

lol, Dan banned me from his board because I'm mean to people on the internet, and apparently I hurt their feelings. True story. Seems Dan doesn't know how to take jokes, or handle all the different types of people very well. His site is destined to fail. They want things to be picture perfect, and that's not the way the internet works. Oh, and you can't post any tit pictures there (which isn't even in the rules)or else you get banned. Mods lock without explanation, so no one really knows what's appropriate and what isn't. Basically, the decisions are made from people that Dan just selected to do the job, after what...a month of having a site up? How do you trust someone's opinion, let alone 4 mods total, to make the decisions you would make, without getting to know them? Long story short, that board is completely lame. Not red text on maroon background lame, but close enough.

What would the significance of 10,000 days be (27+ years)? Before hating on the albulm title, why don't we at least figure it out first?
