i've always sort of wondered who "you" is in this song. singular or plural? i mean, is this essentially a song about an interpersonal relationship, or about the relationship between the singer and a deeper voice within himself... due to the nature of the album, and the conspicuous placement of this song as the first "breath of tool" if you will, it seems more likely to be the latter. so what is this voice supposed to be saying, to be urging? sinking deeper, takes me home? hmm.

Maybe the 'you' is a reference to drugs.
When he says "Must be the way you whisper", I think it's a temptation to do drugs.
