Ok guys, I got soundforge and I decided to try to figure out what the whispers were saying from 10:30 to 11:00 AND I STARTED TO FIGURE IT OUT! I'm so excited ok I seperated it into 2 different channels, changed it to mono, improved the sound quality and slowed it down and here is EXACTLY what I hear(it's not completely clear but I'm almost 100% this is what she says)

"It came from an Irish novel. Open it in the light. It came from a novel, now you will find it" then near around 10:55 it says "Open".

Don't believe me? I'll send you the sound file! Just PM me(I dunno if you can here) or give me your e-mail. I am so freaked out/excited right now guys seriously. I don't know much about maynard so what do you think it means by Irish novel? Maybe the song that Maynard is talking about (that all familiar song) apparently sung by bill hicks was origionated in an Irish novel?

Ok I sent it to everyone who provided an e-mail address. Guys it will sound a little weird cuz I slowed it down and split it up into different channels and made it mono. You can speed it up yourself using any music editor to hear how it is normally. Use headphones and play the volume kinda loud and you'll be able to hear what I wrote. It sounds like she might be saying something just before "Open it in the light" but I'm not sure.

What is Joyce? Please explain what you guys are talking about here. Yes it is for real I'll send you the sound file. And it does make sense because there could be whispers at an earlier part of the song that explain what you're finding in the irish novel. I'm gonna study the song more deeply when I have more time!

When I saw "Irish novel" I immediety thought of James Joyce, author of what are hailed as the best books of the 20th century. I haven't read Finnegan's Wake and I'm working on Ulysses right now, however, I can share this bit of information with you all:

In another book I just read, The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Winston, there is a quote from Timothy Leary, saying that " is more important than Ulysses or Finnegan's Wake." I find it more than slightly coincidental that the Bill Hicks monologue used at the beginning of Third Eye contains references to Leary. Anyone that has read [i]and understood Finnegan's Wake, feel free to chime in here and solve the puzzle.

The ones that I know of:
Stinkfist

Forty-Six And 2
Hooker With A Penis
jimmy
No Quarter
Ticks And Leeches

The one in Stinkfist isn't much of a mystery (it's explained in the FAQ. Plus it's a lot more obvious than the others.), but the others we can only guess at (although Chris Brightwell's suggestions are pretty spot-on most of the time).

I have listened to the soundfile, it sounds fucking freaky and subliminal, you could imagine a group of people casting a spell or something, its incredible... I could definitely hear the words "It came from an Irish novel"... and "Now you will find it" Its really difficult to make out though, hard to know if the words are spoken really fast or slowly and with a wicked effect that makes you think its spoken fast... 0.o

It is subliminal imaging, Maynard wants your money. Adam, Danny, and Paul never existed, they were just robots. The reason they switched to Justin was because the programming files got switched to an English accent. Maynard does have hair, is gay, and is addicted to ecstasy like we all were told he didn't. Maynard lip syncs. Maybe I can't spell syncs, but that is besides the fact. At least I know what's actually going on with tool. If there were more people they would of named it "Tools" obviously, god bless you mindless children.

Oh, no. I'm serious. They released opiates back in the 300,000,000 BCs. When the first poppy seeds evolved, so I doubt you talked to a robot then.

OK, "A childs rhyme stuck in my head, this isn't life it's but a dream" are lyrics from Third eye.

Bill hicks sang this on stage, he said when we were kids we knew all this but we forgot it, "row, row, row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, LIFE IS BUT A DREAM!"
This has to be the song Maynard is refering to and as for the Irish book connection, I don't know. I'm Irish and that song is known by everyone, but I'm pretty sure it's like that the world over. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find an Isish book with reference to it. And that is proberbly the novel you are suppored to open in the light

Well, I was wrong, here's what is written in the faq:

"Well, while it has been described as traditional Andean mountain music, someone has identified it as (possibly) a song called "Oruro Tierra De Ensuenos." It is also a part of the song "Fiestas De Mi Pueblo" by Suenos."

BUT IT'S NOT IRISH FOLKLORE OR POLKA.

'Here is something I found about AEfrom wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_William_Russell

George William Russel was an Irish poet as well as a Theosphen, who often wrote under the name AE (proper though I cant seem to do it :( )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theosophy

He was at the center of the group dealing with Theosophy which deals heavily in enlightenment issues.

There is also reference in Aldous Huxley's "Doors of Perception" to AE

http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/writings/huxley_doors.shtml

You will find Aldous Huxley speaking about AE discussing the effects of mescaline. Down at about paragraph 9 of the Erowid Document. In the actual written book I believe it's page 14 or so.

This may explain somewhat possibly...
