Does anyone else find the background vocals to Triad especially disturbing? The whole song has this really paranoid energy to it, I feel. The screams certainly add to that.

But what really gets me is that chorus (is it a sample? does anybody know where it originated?)...

lalala lalala lalalaaaaaa laaaa

One one hand it fits so perfectly, and yet it also seems so out of context and jarring. It's almost mocking in tone.

Any thoughts?

The whole song has like a "running frantically (away from something?) in the middle of a dark jungle" feel to it.

I think Maynard does the canter-like vocals after the aaAAaaaAAAaaaAAAAAAuuh.

i actually love the little yells he does in there - they seem to fit perfectly, and it just gives the song a little more edge to it

for me the vocals give a human? touch to the mechanical feel of the song. to me triad is like the sounds of a machine, industrial plant etc. the underbelly of the whole album if u strip the vocals away. the inner-workings.............
