like other songs, I think that there are a few large things that go/went on in Maynard's life that influenced these subjects. Part of Me was on opiate, and like most of the songs, in exception to Opiate, and MAYBE cold and ugly, had pretty straightforward meanings. Part of Me is about a stuggle between two forces. Again, this could be taken to two different extreams. It could be a love song. He cant let go and he knows her better than anyone, but she treats him like crap and he wont let her. maybe. Whats your thoughts?
