Word. You can't have an "either ... or ... " poll about things that aren't mutually exclusive.

I would say both, because it's unclear what the metaphysical/epistemological status is of either alien encounters or drug experiences which feel that real. Phenomenologically, that is.

I say it's about being abducted by aliens while tripping. It's both.

The song is about a guy who has either tripped on acid and gone insane, or tripping. (Blame Hoffman) = Blame Albert Hoffman, first guy to synthesize LSD.

"Strapped down, Eyes Red, Feet cold" sounds like someone who has been commited due to insanity. "you didn't see that, you're crazy, we'll give you some drugs to help." hence the stoned part.

I'm pretty sure it's about a bad acid trip.
