I went to my local Zumiez (clothing store) today and I was wearing a Tool shirt and the worker started talking to me about Tool and 10,000 days.
He said he already has 10,000 Days on his iPod because he has a friend that works for a CD store or some shit. He told me don't get too hyped up cause it will let you down. Said it is really different and you have to absorb it.
Now I admit that I hated Vicarious at first, but it grew/is growing on me. I actually like it a lot now.
You think this guy is full of shit or what?

Steal his iPod!
If he is lying about having it etc., kill him!
If he is telling the truth and he actually has the new album on his iPod, kill him!
Either way, it doesn't look good for this guy...
For what it's worth, I don't believe him and even if he had heard the real thing, I am surprised that he said "don't get too hyped" etc.

Basically, Danny said the full Wings for Marie song is his favorite thing they've ever written. I don't trust maynard so much after that emotive shit, but if danny says it's good, I say get yourself a wad of toilet paper, because you're probably about to blow a load

I hate Zumiez. A friend of mine worked there, they are supposed to look at what your wearing and start a conversation based off of that with you so they look cool.
So lame.

Wow that's some corporate bullshit there. I knew a girl who worked at Abercrombie and fitch and she was told not to talk to customers so that it would appear that they were better than the customer, so in turn the customer would feel superior to those who didn't wear thier clothes. Kinda the same as the zumiez thing.

What kills me, is that even if he said you couldn't GET a copy, that you didn't ask to HEAR the shit... that pretty much ends it right there.
He is full of shit, and you are an idiot. So at the end of the day, you are both dumb as fuck. Someone else told me that they have this. You wanna hear something REALLY crazy? The BAND probably doesn't even have copies of this shit. You think the record label is going to fork over the advance for a Tool album, fork over the money to record the album... fork over the money for the mastering... fork over the money for a tour... fuck for anything... and then just hand the CD out to random Execs and sheisters down the ladder?
FUCK NO. There might be like 5 copies of this album out there, and none of them are in the hands of some wanker who would blow all that money for the label. Before people leave the plant, they get patted down for copies of the CD/Vinyl/etc... nothing is leaving there. Noone walks into a plant with a recording device, Ipod, CD player...
Noone gets a copy to burn for a kid... and DEFINATELY some fucking kid that works in a shit store(which you shop at... LOL) doesn't have a copy. Nobody does. If they did, you wouldn't be asking some acne faced kid if he's full of shit. And the fact that you DID proves what a n00b you are.
In short, this album will sell 5 Million copies in the first year... thats 50 Million dollars. 20 Million of that goes to the label... the band will get about 5 Million after paying back all the money that they spent on making this album... thats why bands TOUR and sell SHIRTS and VIDEOs...
you think they are going to piss away this album on a fucking kid, so he can have it on his Ipod?
Yea right.

Exactly... this will be shipped off to the plants about a week or two before the release... it only takes 3 days to distribute this across the entire planet. It's already being pressed and packaged abroad, and in the US it is happening right now, or in a few days.
Assuming that noone manages to sneak one out of the plant(which they won't, BTW) the only way to get one leaked is through the stores... I am willing to bet any amount of money, there isn't a single person with this CD in the original order and with the original artwork... what is being leaked is shit that is fractions of things that people want... I bet that noone has the music, itself.

Yea right.

I know how music distribution works, and the copies of the shit that Tool had weren't even in the correct order. That shit doesn't happen--that dude couldn't POSSIBLY have a copy.

10,000 Days will arrive at record stores in Australia and Germany in 8 days at latest. I say there will definitely be a leak until the weekend. There must be huge amounts already pressed, waiting for being shipped, or being shipped right now. Any moment now folks, any moment.

Now I admit that I hated Vicarious at first, but it grew/is growing on me. I actually like it a lot now.
You think this guy is full of shit or what?

Why didn't you just ask to see his Ipod? Prove it to you? Otherwise, I'm with everyone else...bullshit.
