I'm not saying that people shouldn't give any information about leaks, I'm just saying they should be discreet, just saying that there is a real leak is enough. Who wants it, goes after it. It's really bad to spread leaks in a semi-official board.
But there's no need to get everyone excited saying "OH I FOUND A LEAK!" and it turns to be a fake.
I really want to hear the single ASAP, if there is a leak cool, if not... oh well April 17th is not that far away.

I downloaded a couple of torrents out of curiousity. They were pretty funny.

Hmm, searched for that on the piratebay... no results came up.

I usually never deam it necessary to create a new thread, but I couldn't find this being talked about, so here it goes. I went on to the usual places to look for torrents today, and I noticed there are two brand new torrents that refer to a Vicarious single available to download. However, there are no seeds at the moment, so i decided to keep looking around. Next to those two torrents, there was another torrent for the whole album coming in at around 76 megs, and another at 49 megs. I know there was a crap torrent out earlier, cuz I fell for it. Anyone know anything about these torrents?

it's in the comments. someone posted the tracklist for the tool album, but turned out to be some dude with an acoustic guitar. there was then a comment listing the real song names and who did the stuff.

First off, I didn't make that torrent, I just decided to browse my favorite torrent sites and I saw what looked to be the real torrent for "10,000 Days".

Secondly, I didn't even realize when I posted the thread that the file was just uploaded.

So no, I did not create that file. In fact, I was pretty pissed that the files were all silent, although I was simultaneously hoping it was fake.

You know what I think? Obviously not, cuz I havent said anything yet.... What I think is this. For bands to make albums, tour the world, spend weeks, months, years away from their families on the road, put up with shitty motels, cramped busses, travel sickness, jet lag every few days, I think that they deverve to live a life of luxury for those few weeks a year that they have off. For what they go through, for us, they damn well deserve it. I know i would be the same if I ever made it as a musician.
People who are looking on torrent sites, etc, limewire, all that crap, and getting pissed off at the band for not letting their property be stolen (that's what it is at the end of the day), you should wonder why the band doesnt visit your town on their next tour. You should wonder why the production of the next album may be worse off, or why their shows have cut down in production value, and the ticket prices have gone through the roof.
As for myself, if I could have the new Tool album now, i'd love to, but I am too honest for that. The amount of people going on about how greedy they are, how tight they are with the new album, really, you have only got yourselves to blame for trying to find the album in the first place, and ripping them off what they have worked damn hard to produce to entertain us. Very valid point, dont you think?

The greatest part is that the album is out there, it is just not on any public sharing areas.

OK, another fake torrent has been posted on mininova.org. It's called "TOOL_10000_days_Teaser_81stChakra(2) mp3" I sorta don't remember if it's been discussed on here already. If so, my apologeez (dons hazmat suit). The music part is pretty fuckin' funny... the guy does a good impression of Maynard.
