there was a thread on the rumors side that mentioned the possibility of the new album AND the live DVD being released in close proximity to one another. the facts that the guy lays out arent completely baseless...sounds like this COULD...COULD actually happen.

so here is the point...if this does happen...and we have 2 new tool offerings in the coming months...will you purchase both? why one and not the other? is pricing a factor?

i myself would purchase both regardless of the price but im interested in some other opinions about the idea of tool releasing 2 products close together.

why did this deserve to come out of the rumors section?

i dont understand why the live dvd coming out in early april is suddenly a magical new rumor for some of these people. This has been known for a looong time. Read the newsletter with the ouji board, and watch what numbers the pointer goes to before settling over good bye to make it read "go bye(buy)"

I would have to wait for the refractory period to pass after buying and experiencing the first and then buy the second. Yes, I'd buy both. The thought of the live DVD and a new CD so close makes me want to . . .

I would actually dig up my rotting, maggot-infested grandmother's corpse and THEN knock her down a flight of stairs and/or elevator shaft to get a full set of Tool bobbleheads.

I'd really like if they were to include them both together in one package. A double-disc, or a whole 'nother package but somehow conjoined. I'm a sucker for the visual appeal of music and film products, so that would be cool.

Then after that's released, Lateralus could be re-released with the movie they've been rumored on working for it. Would be dope nonetheless.

I don't know if any of you like Cursive (one of my favorites), but I read recently that an indie film of The Ugly Organ was in the works. I think that would be my first pick of any non-Tool album to have an accompanying movie.
