Eh.
Anything's possible, but this one is probably the last one that I would guess is "real".
Good try though. The effort was there.
Thanks.

I think we already had a thread where people did that. A long time ago though.
Anyone else think tool's putting out all these album covers to fuck with us? This is the 4th one I've seen today.

the only trend from tool album to tool album is black artwork. the content/song titles/album titles have been different thoughout. (therefore saying 'thats not very toolish' seems a little pointless)
I don't really buy the brown art.

Uh... most of Undertow was brown on the inside. Opiate had color. And the bottom of that one is black. Plus the guy said they were making a semi translucent black, white, and gold slip case for it.... Maybe that will mostly be black?

Good points, although they did all have an overall "black feel" to them... if that makes sense...
That brown art is nice though. Very hydrahead records...

the brown one strikes me as being...almost real. I've considered that the design in the artwork leads me to believe it's an animated cover? just a thought. if it's fake, it's a decent/good one.

If its fake, it is the most convincing... not because it looks like you'd expect but because of the crease/staples of a real booklet.

exactly. it doesnt look like it originated on a screen. it has depth and REALITY to it. stapled and what not, like you said.

The only thing I wonder is if it isn't just some obscure cd thats already out with TOOL photoshopped on...
but thats way too fucking far-fetched. I don't beleive myself when I say that.
Well 99% of me doesn't beleive it anyway...

Well if it means anything we can rule out the black one with colored splotches that gave the tracklist on the back in purple letters. If you look closely you'll see the same circuit board pattern from Lateralus' slip cover. In it some squares go around specific letters in the song titles. Those letters spell F-A-K-E.
This is making me feel the brown one might just be real

The black splotchy one also had a sticker on the from which said "Featuring the tracks..."
Surely albums don't have that on them until those tracks are already known as singles...

actually this is one is really bad. i dont know if im the only one that see this, but that image remings me of this one Slipknot promo pic for their third album, with the camera taking the picture looking upward as the whole band surrounded it and looked down. so wat i see from this pic is the shadows of the band members, because if you look, the black spots almost look like bodies. plus you can see wat resembles a ceiling pattern in the middle.
