For anyone who lives in Pasadena, CA (or near there). You know those signs that are put up when a movie is being filmed, usuallu neon sings with one or two words on them pointing the way to the movie set? Well, before Lateralus came out, those sings were all over pasadena with Tool stickers on them, pointing towards some studio in old town pasadena (which I later found out was where post production is done on Tool videos). I just went through Pasadena today, and as I got off the freeway on the corner of Fair Oaks and Corson St. there was a bright neon sign, with an arrow pointing down the street with A Tool sticker on it! This tells me that their finishing up the video.

I used to work at this coffee shop that was right around the corner from where they do their videos and on my day off of all days, Adam and Maynard came into my work to get coffee. So yeah, that sucked. Anyway, the sticker is black oval shaped with Tool in a cursive-ish font. How would I post the pic (nevermind, photobucket duh)

Yeah it sucked. My friend Lenny was working that day (this is at The Equator Cafe in old town pasadena, and the studio they do their production at (I think) is called Fire something). He was rubbing it in my face for a month. Another cool thing happened to me there. Right before APC put out Mer De Noms, I had received an advance copy of it and was playing it at the cafe. And this dude comes up to me and starts talking about the cd. When I ask him his name, he tells me Kabir. And I'm like, not the Kabir, and he's like... yeah. I had him show me his liscence. It was him, or at least someone else named Kabir

I've had a chance to meet Danny a few times. He has drum clinics and he has had a few in Overland Park, Kansas (him being from Kansas). However, I'm not a drummer.

I had a chance to meet him backstage at a Pigmy concert a few years ago. Met the rest of the band at tower records (danny was busy with other shit), and they invited me backstage at their concert that night. Couldn't go cause of school in the morning... I was kinda pissed :/

Since we're gonna do this... about 2 months ago, I was in Seattle and I went to hail a cab, but when it stopped for me, I looked back and realized Maynard and Justin had been hailing the same cab. I got the hell out of the way, of course, then they looked at each other and laughed then Maynard asked me where I was going. I said I was on my way to the ferry terminal, and he said it was the right direction, and said I could share the cab. I was so nervous... but of course I got in... and we were driving, doing some terrifying small-talk and....... and........... and Maynard and Justin RAPED ME... *breaks down crying*

Yeah, their video post place is in Pasadena and I saw the signs for the previous videos.

I don't think it's the Firehouse (which is right down the alley and across the street from the Equator). That place is a SUPER posh recording studio I've been to a few times. Unaware of any video post work going on there. Of course they could be working on the audio post end of it there.

However Screaming Lobster was in Pasadena. No longer exists under that name. But I believe they still use the same space. Lots of graphics/video post studios in Old Town.

And since you all are doing the guess who I've met. I've met no one from Tool :( But I did meet everyone from APC (excluding Maynard) and Josh Frees recorded the drums for a band I used to play in (big deal, anyone can hire him for $1000 a song). So that was cool. I shook his hand, and I'm sure he's shaked Maynards hand, which of course has touched Maynard's Dick, so essentially, Iv'e touched Maynards dick.

What we have in this thread is not information concerning the new album. It is someone noticing something in the town where videos are produced. When we get verification on that email, it will be allowed. Protecting names and radio stations? Sorry.

I met maynard in San Francisco at amoeba records. He was looking in the devo section with his wife. I went up to him and shook his hand and said he was great. He said thanks and kind of blew me off. He was not all that friendly. I am still none the less obsessed.
