GMT -0500 -> Eastern Standard Time
GMT -0600 -> Central Standard Time
GMT -0700 -> Mountain Standard Time
GMT -0900 -> Pacific Standard Time
Except that we're currently in the ridiculous state of "daylight savings", so add an hour to each of those and you get their respective "Daylight" time settings.
Do a little bit of math and you'll see, quite clearly, that Pacific is two hours ahead of Central, not the other way around.

Exactly. Obviously whatever news he has the band wants posted. So why would the band exclude lyrics from that list? You make no sense.

it doesn't matter anyway. it probably won't be lyrics, but you can't say he won't post them because you don't know what he'll post.

Its gonna be the review. Today the embargo lifted on all reviews of the album, hense Kabir being able to post it without the band getting pissed at him.
Hopefully it'll have some lyric snippets and stuff in it.

so, when people on the east coast get the new album 3 hours before those on the west coast, will we still be considered as being 3 hours behind?

He said that he'll have the news, implying that it'll be something not posted on toolband (otherwise he'd say "check toolband tonight"). If the band wants something like lyrics posted, it's much more likely it'll be there than here in the forum.
Merely expressing my doubt that it'll be anything more than review-type info rather than details as explicit as lyrics/images/etc... it'd be quite odd for the band to release lyrics through Kabir to be posted on this forum and that too much shouldn't be expected. I make perfect sense.

For a visual aide, please see [ http://www.time.gov/].

This made me laugh so hard. You type up this long drawn out post about how people are "mind-numbing" and you are completely wrong.
Pacific is 2 hours BEHIND Central. I'm in Texas. It's 7:50pm. It's 5:50pm in California right now.
Pretty hilarious of you to call other people out for not being able to understand it.

No.
This is completely wrong.
11:30 pacific = 12:30 Mt = 1:30 Central = 2:30 Eastern.
Seriously, how people that live in America can have such a poor understanding of time zones is absolutely unbelievable.

All you have to do if you forget which way it goes is remember the Sun sets to the west. If you remember that, then it's easy to figure out that the farther west you go (until you hit the international date line), the earlier it gets.

Well I can understand his little GMT chart confusing him but the fact that adults that live in America don't know how the time zones work has always irked me a bit. It's basic, basic knowledge.
