Anima = female aspect of the personality in Jungian psychology. Animus is male and thats the aspect that causes issues. The subconscious of the man in the album would be the Anima.
Enema = cleansing...yeah baby.
Combine. The cleansing of the soul to reach enlightment using the female/pure aspects of the personality!

yeah thats been discussed, my theory is the album is called Ænima cause the album refers to the Anima concept a lot. the "title track" is called Ænema because it discusses the "anal cleansing" of LA.
