if Danny wants to be a full blown percussionist...
he needs to do some latin beats. Nothing emulates more heart and feeling than latin music. Since it seems that Tool is headed that way, I think it's only fair to mention this...
I put this in the Lateralus section of the forum since it was here where Danny started experimenting more with indian beats and the tabla. Now it's time to head soutH!

Well, that's an opinion, and one I would heartily disagree with.

that way. the way of emulating more heart and feeling through their music. remember the first time you laid your eyes on the lyrics for schism? i was blown away. finally, here was a song with very positive lyrics. after 10kdays (a blues album, or so MJK put it), we can anticipate the coming of an album full of love and feeling (as opposed to the cold, calculated beauty of, say, Lateralus)

The rapper who was on Reflection is Hawk. Tricky's voice is completely different.
It's ok though, I blame the files floating around the net (that say Reflection w/Tricky), not you. If you happen to have that show (2001-11-01), listen to Reflection, then listen to Opiate. The person on Opiate, now that is Tricky.
Back on topic...there are so many places that Danny hasn't explored. I don't think that he has to play EVERY type of music with Tool in order to become a "full blown percussionist." I'd still like to see Tool do a jazzy number though.
