A cracked branch
the shaking of metal
rattles me in the wind
my mind is the parched leaves
which blow around me
and embrace the downpour
with its white noise
beneath a gray sky with
swirls and puffs of black
as I walk towards a steel door
and wait impatiently
to be let inside.
