That's assuming they even do day tickets. I think it depends on how well weekend ticket sales go on whether they bother doing day tickets. I might be wrong though
I'll be there anyway! Though it's damn annoying that the tickets come so late! I'm at uni but the ticket has to get sent to my home address because it needs to be sent to the billing address of my credit card. Haven't actually figured out what I'm doing to pick up my ticket yet

Gotta see if it pans out first and what restrictions there are. As it stands now i'm with the civilians. lol
If it's looking likely i'll post details. Sure there'll be plenty of takers
Edit:
From the Download website:
"

PLUS EVEN MORE BANDS CONFIRMED
With just 6 weeks remaining until Download 2006 finally arrives, individual day tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 3 May at 9:00am. These tickets are strictly limited and priced at £55 each, demand for these is sure to exceed availability.
With such an outstanding line-up, and impeccable reputation for quality, weekend tickets for this year's festival have sold faster than ever before. Campsite spaces are only available with weekend tickets and the very last of these are now on sale with less than 6,000 campsite spaces still available. Book now to avoid disappointment.

sounds like some good bands are going to be there.
um, well not actually I'm not, though I will be going to London for two weeks in June and seeing Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra (twice), Carla Bozulich (three times) and Tool (once) there. It'll be an awesome week.
So, how are you Kam? I've been seeing lots of people from back in the day recently, its endearing to know we're all still around, doing our own thing. Anyway, take care. Send me an email (foetal at hotmail dot com) or MSN me sometime. I'd love to chat.
Amir.

Anyone notice that there are only 8 bands on the main stage on friday as opposed to 10 bands on saturday and sunday? Could this mean that Tool will get longer stage time than the headliner normally does?

not necessarily; at other european festivals the first day starts later but ends at the same time as the second and third day. (Because of the people still having to arrive at the festival on that first day. On the other days, they are already there so the bands can start earlier.)
Re: 2006/06/09 - Donington Park, England - Download Festival
I'll be there, right on the right hand side of the stage watching Danny and Justin. Paid the whole £135 just to see Tool and celebrate my friends birthday. Should be an amazing experience!! Aswell as seeing them on the 13th and 14th June.
Anyone, got any ideas for there setlist? Do you know if it will be different from there American shows they're doing now?
Im hoping they'll change it for the european shows, its more than likely they will. Last tour, the UK were the first to get to hear 'The Patient' so hopefully will get something different added this time round!! Loving the setlist at the moment, but would love for them to add 'The Grudge' 'Wings/10,000 days'. Wings for Marie and 10,000 days would be amazing live if it were raining! But still amazing nonetheless.

I have finally managed to scrape together enough cash to get a ticket for download and they sell out! Can anybody recommend a good way of getting hold of a weekend camping ticket without the horrific scrapping at ebay?? If anybody out there has a spare ticket and would like to sell it to a dedicated Tool fan that is willing to travel to collect then please speak up now!!

Suns Of The Tundra(Peach, Justin Chancellors old band) will be playing with Tool at the download festival on the 9th of June. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong bit, I just had no idea where it would fit on the forum so feel free to move it or whatever.
Is anyone going to Download?
How many 10,000 days songs do you think they'll play?

I'm going. How do you mean "they will be playing with Tool"? Will they just have a couple of cameos here and there?

Cheers Newbornstorm, I've managed to find (read 'buy') a ticket now, but cheers for the reply :-)
There's quite a few topics about this, but anyway.
I hope Justin joins the Tundra to play You Lied or something, I also hope Henry Rollins joins Tool to play Bottom, and it'd be cool if Maynard joined Alice in Chains for a few songs.
It'd be great if Justin Joined Suns for a song. AND if Henry joined Tool. But I cant see the AIC thing happening, i think Tool are off to somewhere else the day AIC play.
