I think this song is often overshadowed by its second half (Reflection).
The simplicity yet depth of the lyrics take me to a far greater place than Reflection ever has.
While I would agree that the songs really must be thought of as a more of a whole than separate entities, I would take this song over Reflection. Am I the only one?
I never overlooked it...In fact the first time I heard Disposition, I said this is refreshing and I got a big ass smile on my face...still love it and I think it's some of Adams better guitar playing.
"Disposition" is great. In fact, I don't see why "Reflection" gets so much attention, because while I think it's a great song, it's my least favorite of the three.

i like disposition more than reflection, its kinda weird though, they go together....i like reflection's lyrics more, but the sound of disposition is great....i dont care what anyone says, to me, lateralus is the best album ever....the ending is so fucking brilliant its just not even sane...i used to think led zeppelin was the ultimate band, but tool has taken their place in my mind
Disposition is glorious. You can just dissolve into it and emerge on the other side with a washed soul. I really think it is an inspired piece of music - simple and perfect. And after the relentless introspection of Lateralus it is a gentle chance to relax and swing with the weather changes. I am a dispositionophile. SO good.

When i picture the song in my mind, i see myself on a nice grassy hill, gazing into the sky watching the clouds. But the clouds are moving across the sky quite quickly. Almost like the video clips they play during 10,000 Days live. Its a very tranquil place. I could listen to the track all day.
