scored some tickets to this show… it will be my first time in San Diego. Just wondering what there is to do before the show. Saw the Zoo was in the area, people have said Old Town… any locals have suggestions?

I don't live there but here's a list of things to do/see besides the zoo or Sea World
Old Town (bars/restaurants)
Ocean Beach (hippies, surfers and the occasional tweeker)
Mission Beach (nice place to listen to music and chill)
Pacific Beach (I saw dolphins mating from the pier last time I was here)
La Jolla (coffee houses/lunch spots)
Temecula (wineries)
Salton Sea
Joshua Tree

welcome to my hometown :) The sound here is (or has been) a little muddy, drowning low's and not much clarity, but they say they've improved it...so we'll see. The Chili's beforehand is always super packed, since there's not too many other restaurants to grab a drink before, other than Phil's BBQ which is always packed, show or not. We're taking an Uber or Lyft to avoid the parking. It's $20 cash to get in the lot, so obviously get it beforehand.
Blown away by this show! was soooooooo good to hear/see little nuggets of new things to come from our guys. JUNIOR: Amazing dude. I was tripping balls the entire show and what you do really takes TOOL to a level above all others. Thank you for the wake-up.
I was struck by dumb-luck as some guy flopped down a stack of about 20 signed Lithos as my turn was up at the merch counter. I never thought i would own one of these since a $45 T-shirt is even a budget stretch, but my girlfriend pulled out a stack of cash she had been hiding and threw down to get one. I couldn't believe it. It doesn't seem like the lithos are as hyped as they were in previous tours but ill try and post a pic for anyone who might be interested.
Im trying to figure out how to upload right now… its a show poster signed by the guys. Probably the same thing they got in the VIP package. Im not too sure. Im just stoked for a piece of TOOL memorabilia that i never thought i would own, regardless of how rare/popular they are/aren't.
Besides the VIP poster signed by Adam, I also have one of these. I'll level you with you guys- I am not a big fan of skulls. Which may seem strange since it's a prominent part of the artwork associate with Tool. But this? I loved the screen and look of this poster immediately. I have a few signed ones and this is the best they have ever done.
Oh, and btw, Phil's BBQ? Awesome!!! Damn they got some good 'cue there. The majority Yelp reviews do not lie.
i picked up poster at the tucson 2012 show but none of the signed ones were available. I agree the one from SD2014 is WAY better quality and pops with the gloss/matte/embossing. SOOO stoked on this gem in my collection.
@sonnyboy11 - do u happen to have a shot of the VIP deal poster?
