the title
The title "Ænima" looks like a movie clapper board, turned sideways. Later.

Re: the title
@ OP
Interesting observation, what significance might it have? I'm interested in hearing more of your viewpoint...
@ others off topic
Please try to be more mature guys. Or post that kinda stuff in your own threads as to not clog up the boards for ppl actually here to talk about Tool. (commence bashing...)

Re: the title
It took me a while to notice this, but yes, the ligature actually does look like one of the aforementioned doohickies. I think the significance, if any, is linked to the song more than the album title; the album and song title are, as you know, both portmanteaux (is it an x?) of "anima" and "enema" - but note the third letter in each form; the album is about the mind, the song is about cleansing. Not that we didn't know that already.
But then, the songs to seem to have an extremely strong visual element (not only on this album - all Tool songs do!) so the fact that it looks like such an object could be in relation to this... or it could just be a mildly poetic coincidence.

Like moose and deer.
That's right, a portmanteau is not only two words mashed together, it's also a four-legged, hooved, grazing animal.
Well, either way, thanks.
Also, glad to see you unprobed.

It's probably best that you not get probed. I'd imagine that Rivek's rectum still hurts.
