I'm going to re-do my version soon and try to get my English accent through. I'm far too influenced by American voices. I'm going to try another song, but I haven't decided which yet.
Tiryth deserves a little more praise here for putting the effort into doing full songs a cappella - it's hard work. *thumbs up*
p.s. the geocities link to my version has a slight reduction in quality - you can still download my attempt at http://www.angelfire.com/realm/arcane

I think a girls voice is more appropriate for this intro (besides Maynard of course) so I felt that fretforyourfigure sounded the best but she kind of dragged it out a little bit, but I myself still can't get into that intro, it bugs me for some reason.

That was probably the best one on any of these 'can you sing it threads' that iv'e heard. If I had a mic i would give it a go (not the pot though, my voice don't do that for some reason..lol), but I think you hit the notes and tore everyone else up.
Shit, if you lived 'round here, I would say let's jam....good job

If you can find me a bartending job there and if you know any drummers or bass players that want to jam, then I would consider it. Or you could move to Denver, it's only a few hundred miles west....we could always jam here too.

Oh there's plenty of bars in the KC area. Especially around music venues. The concert I went to a few days ago at th Beaumont Club is a huge bar...and yeah wouldnt be hard to find someone who plays bass or drums. I play guitar, I can basically play anything with bar chords...I learn fairly quickly.

Sounds good...only thing is leaving behind family, friends and I doubt my gf would want to move. Tell ya what, If I continue having a hard time finding other musicians around here and I get bored with things then I might split....right now I can't really say for sure..(thinking..)..hmmm. Maybe, give me some time, we'll see.

I wish I could sing better so I could say, "I can do better than that". But I can't.

There's my attempt. I also sing for a band and we cover songs by Tool and A Perfect Circle. If you guys want any other of my attempts or complete covers, just PM me. ;) Or I'll post them in a separate thread.

Enjoy. =)

Everyone did a good job on their renditions and even more kudos for being willing to offer it up on the internet for us to listen to.
From the links that were still available, I would have to say Arcane was the best.
