The Island Bar has Newcastle. So all I know is we are set!
And for those of you who don't drink- don't sweat. My bro Heinrich (straight out of Berlin for those last Vegas shows) didn't drink a drop! That's right- a German brother not drinking ANY beer! Man, between that and my Canadaian dudes, things got crazy! Angel, we'll see you there. And anyone else who wants to join us, we'll make sure it happens- Tool and 10,000 Days are back! I could give a shit about the setlist.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

Well after months of waiting, my day has arrived. The Tulsa show is now less than 12 hours away. I'll be posting the review and setlist when I get home.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I wish they would do some more dates in the southeast!!!

I need some advice here...
My friend caught Danny's Drym skin he tossed into the crowd last year in Calgary, and we're going to Saskatoon next week to see them again. Is there any shot at getting the band to sign it? I've never tried to meet any band after a show or anyting, will they be outside the bus, or earlier at a meet and greet?

I highly doubt you'll be able to meet the band. The only member whom you may run into is Danny...if he signs it that would be cool.
The other guys are never around...Maynard runs to the bus and hates people.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Saw a posting from Blair on the official site, and have read a few postings here about special posters on sale at the venues. Anyone know the details on these, including how much they cost?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
you can check them out at http://www.printmafia.net/, click on posters at the top... every venue is different..some have the signatures from the band, drawings, etc.... i heard they were $75... so go to the merch booth early and snag one.
me and my girlfriend went around the back of the arena after the cincy show and waited by maynards bus (the ones with the daggers) for about a half hour...and he didnt show so we gave up

Nah- I did last time but this time I splurged and am staying just across the street at the Gold Coast.
I will say one thing for Circus Circus, after the first show at the Pearl last time out, I got back late to the hotel and was starved. Seemed like everything was closed except for the cafe in Circus Circus. I got a mushroom/swiss burger there and it was pretty f'in good!

So it looks like the artist who is doing these "special" posters is not involved in the SF and LV shows. I really want The Pearl poster...of well, perhaps they'll have another artist do the last shows.
hey sonnyboy...you going to the LA show too? Are you going to both LV shows?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Tmax and I got a pretty good recording of last nights show. I can not remember who did the work for the OKC show, as far as putting it up for everyone to download and broken down by songs, not one long recording but if they would PM me that would be awesome.
Oh yeah, the show was bad ass. Flood was the shit!!!!!!!

I would suggest if you can, wait out back of the place by the tour buses. I did this at the July 5 show in Grand Rapids, MI and I got to meet Justin and Danny and they signed my ticket and a shirt I bought and they were totally cool although Danny said he was not big into having pictures taken of him.
Maynard got into his bus and we didnt notice and he took off before anyone else. Adam wasnt interested in coming over but we did see him.
My ticket can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/setecx/1850325270/

Yup! Got 4th row in LA to see them. Just going to one Vegas show (Friday).
Speaking of shows, just printed out my tickets for Van Halen tonight at Staples Center! hehe- I'm an old timer. I saw them in 81, 82, 83. Should be a fun night!

Every show I say to my self ...."Self, you are not going to pay 38 bucks for a T shirt".
So anyway last night I bought a 38 dollar shirt....AGAIN.... I had to...They had some new designs and say 2007 Fall Tour :)

4 yrs old? That means you are only 30? Listen young man, you will need to respect your elders when next you see me- my liver has endured far worse trials than any whippersnapper! Now get off my lawn! :D
Oh, and Van Halen was great tonight. Who would've thought they could still deliver after all this time?
Don't think I can make it out for the first Vegas show. Busy season for me at work so just swinging the second date is about all I can manage. Good times regardless!

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Ok, I have a question. If I remember from the last show I went to which was the May 3rd show in San Diego they play about a hour after the listed time on the ticket? Cause I think the opening band played for awhile before they took the stage. Im just wondering since I have a conflicting schedule the day of the concert and wondering if I would be able to make it to the L.A. show. 2 hours to drive 50 miles but who knows what traffic will be like at 6 in SoCal...

All four shows that I've been to this tour have had 8 o'clock listed as the start time but Tool doesn't usually take stage until 9 to 9:15 (at least that's what my experience has been this tour). I would say get there as early as you can, it's not worth possibly missing the first part of the show.
