I was just curious if anyone has taked LSD and listened to 'Aenima'. I know it's hard to sit still when ur trippin balls but i've got two purple gel-tabs straing me down as i write this. I was thinking of popping one and throwing 'Aenima' in but im not sure if ill be able to sit still long enough to listen to it all the way through. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this album in this light.
I've never actually tried acid (though I'd like to at some point), but it's situations like the one you're describing that make me wish there were a long form video to accompany the record. You could try it with The Nightmare Before Christmas on acid, but that might be too much to handle (I know I'd have a tough time of it on shrooms)>

I hear that. I've listened to Red hot chili peppers' 'Californication' on acid and flea was mind blowing but ive never listened to any Tool albums on psychoactive's. Tonight will be a first.
I suppose I can tell you... that after two geltabs.. the only songs that will have any relevance and resonate at the level you're at will be (-) ions, cesaro summability, and most importantly: Third Eye.

I advance agree resonance. I just popped one gel-tab 5 min. ago. We should do an experiment. When the acid hits i'll hit play on 'Aenima' and try to explain what im feeling(seeing) to the best of my abilities and see if our experiences where @ all similar.

i love tripping alone. in fact, it was just aenima my kitty and myself for several hours of one of my most memorable trips. we rolled around on the shag carpet for hours in the dark. good times, indeed.
also, i couldnt be that great if you have enough of an attention span for internet browsing...

I know ive had several amazing ones with friends. thought id try something a little differet this time. Got some DMT also the 5-me0 stuff or whatever. Think mixing is a bad idea?

"and you will come to find we are all one mind" kinda changed my life listening to it on shrooms.... got a rediculous out of body experience... time ceased to exist and i was sent flying into a vortex... was pretty nuts... on a stong eighth of mush..

Tool on acid is a spiritual experience but most of all with Aenima. I once met the god that i don't believe in and attained unity with the universe, then i sobered up and forgot the secret to life. Maybe hippie flipping will head better results.
Did he kill himself or something no response on how the trip was...by the way i ate 4.5 gel tabs and listened to the first Korn CD for over 24 hours...no wonder i think im a flaming stealth bananna....J/K
I'd have to agree with a previous poster. The guy says he doesn't feel it until like 7:30 and at 8:40 he's coming back from the trip? That doesn't sound like any acid I've taken before. My girlfriend and I were on the ride for a good 12 hours. I listened to Lateralus while tripping and it blew my fucking head off. I've got to say though, when I put 10,000 Days on I really noticed a difference. That album is just so fucking polyphonic. An incredible listen.
whilst tripping 10,000 days is a real downer for me other than rosetta stoned, not that its a bad thing. lateralus, especially live, takes me places my mind has never been, it never fails. still to this day, i catch myself saying, "ive never heard it that way before", with all the tool albums.
I listened to 10,000 Days on acid and it was AWESOME. Highlights include Vicarious (as I walked through my school campus and looked at all the people), Jambi (for being heavy as fuck), The Pot (groovy as fuck), Lipan Conjuring (extremely good soundscape), Rosetta Stoned (I laughed my ass off), and Intension (beautiful sounds, so many layers of goodness).
