im pretty sure its become popular to rearrange the songs and what have you...but i dont recall one exactly like this --
has anyone combined 10,000 days with their existing library and making their own comps?
i did 3 and here they are (there is another one with the "leftovers" as i call them-- great songs but i wanted a top 3) all burned 'disc at once' to keep the seamless flow from one song to the next
1:
stinfist
aenema
the pot
46 and 2
eulogy
prison sex
vicarious
flood (shortened intro)
jambi
2:
parabol
parabola
schism
the grudge
no quarter
third eye
lost keys
rosetta stoned
3:
pushit (live)
the patient
lateralus
wings for marie
10,000 days
disposition
reflection
triad
right in two

I love your first list, but I'd have added Lateralus and Right in Two.

Indeed. I am almost certain the lost keys/rosetta stoned combo is an intentional continuation of Third Eye's theme.
When the Third Eye-ish riff comes in in Rosetta Stoned for the firs time, even the drums do something there that is definitely reminiscent of the point in Third Eye right after they play the "prying open my third eye" part.
I find it all quite compelling.

I put all of Tool's songs (well about 95% of them anyway) on an MP3 CD, set my CD player to random, and let the combinations surprise me every day.
