Yeah. Ænima for me because H. , Jimmy , & eulogy. I love Ænema's light show & I would love to see how die Eire Von satan would come across live. I have a feeling that would be a really cool performance.
Tucson 2012 was probably my favorite set show/set list so far.

Aenima would be my vote, H, Eulogy, Jimmy specifically are tracks I've always wanted to see live, but then again undertow as well has many tracks I've never seen. They just need to do like a 5 night select city shows! Hell just travel back and forth between the venues (undertow mini tour then aenima mini tour ect.) Ha! ....opiate/salival/covers, then the other albums. My personal favorite setlist i was at was '02 longbeach arena Ca. :
Sober
The Grudge
Stinkfist
EBA
The Patient
Schism
Parabol
Parabola
Third Eye
D/R/T
Lateralus
So same as eastbay minus the true encore! But man what a phenomenal show

I'd be totally fine with the above setlist for the upcoming tour. Gotta keep The Grudge in there. And one or two songs I'd love to see added, and are also realistically possible, would be Right In Two and Pushit. On my unrealistic setlist, It'd be great to see Jimmy, Eulogy or Prison Sex. But those won't be happening. I'd also guess No Quarter was a one-off. But we'll see.

This is one of my favorite setlists, mostly because is shocked the shit out of me. I never in a million years thought they would play so many random Opiate cuts.
and the covers? Oh My. (The Melvins also did a cover of Green Manalishi this night.)
San Diego - March 29 1998 (celebrating my birthday)
Forty-Six & 2
Cold and Ugly
Swamp Song
Part of Me
Sober
Stranglehold
(Ted Nugent cover) (with King Buzzo)
Demon Cleaner
(Kyuss cover) (with Scott Reeder)
Pushit (rodie puts MJK in a duffel bag and swings him around)
Third Eye
Ænema
Jerk-Off

Just went back and watched. Holy fuck. Epic. Definitely a little different. Just now setting in I was one of first people to hear and see those songs.

I feel for u Kanaduh. As big as a fan that you are, youve only been to the literal 10,000 days tour. So im sure the Grudge would be epic for you. I hope they keep it too. One of my favorite songs. It probably will be played imho

Hope you're right. I wasn't fully appreciating Flood during the 10K Days tour until they had what I thought was the least of their shows at Pukkelpop in 2007. Most of that night was not good, but somehow that thudding intro from Danny and Adam with the torrent of water on-screen transformed it. Sure would love to see it again.

the Tempe setlist was refreshing after previous shows. Just NQ and the Grudge had me sold. I like 10K days but wouldn't miss any of the songs if it meant more Lateralus earlier songs not in their tour rotation. Eager for Jan 6th regardless.

Don't forget the Ramones "Commando" cover from Colorado Springs on the Lateralus tour... I remember they opened with Cold and Ugly and then went into Commando. I thought WTF is this song?!?! TOOL is playing punk rock!! Only after the show did I get the song title.

An Opiate/Undertow night would be sweet. The songs are short and more metal-ish but I know Maynard's voice would not comply for more than one night.
I like the symphonic direction of the later albums and they are probably better for incorporation of light shows and effects but give me a small club and play Opiate or Undertow. That would be the first time I would purposefully mosh at a TOOL show.

I also think 'Die Eire Von Satan' would be cool live. I have a feeling that a live translation would be in a similar manor of a song like APC's 'Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of The War Drums'; the main electronic riff would be translated to a guitar set to an 'industrial guitar mode' sound (don't know the technical term, sorry gear-heads). If fact I think all the interluded would be a different-but-cool take if ever played live.

…add in Junior's part with the visual performance and i bet it would send people through the roof.
Have they ever performed this?
Imagine Les Claypool adding a Cello to the mix...

I wish I would seen Tool during the Undertow tours! I have never seen 4 Degrees live but I am so thankful that I saw Jimmy live and Prison Sex w/added verse!

Even though I have seen every song on Aenima performed I would choose that album. That is when Maynard was an actual "front man" and wasn't off in the back. Plus I don't think they will ever perform Jimmy again and that was great live! Plus that is my favorite album!

Im still a little upset that we are not getting Primus. It would have been a full circle moment cuz 1st time I seen TOOL, Primus headlined. Is our 3teeth show cost as much as Primus opening? If so, we are getting burned

I only remember 1 performance of it.
Universal Amphitheatre in 1996, right around Christmastime (so, approximately 19 years ago) on the first leg of the Ænima tour. It was the same night that "The Spirit of Christmas" was shown near the end of the show. "The Spirit of Christmas" was also shown at the previous show, which was in Las Vegas.

Commando was actually first busted out at Radio City in NYC. Which is definitely the coolest show I've been to. Alex Grey painted up MJK and this was the setlist:
Sober
Commando (Ramones)
The Grudge
Stinkfist
H.
Schism
Parabol
Parabola
Eon Blue Apocalypse
The Patient
Ænema
Intermission
Disposition
Reflection
Triad
Lateralus
As I recall, the big banners with the different layers of the body were unfurled during the Grudge. Red metallic confetti rained down during The Patient. And Lateralus is the baddest ass closer ever.

Wanted to make sure this advice was not overlooked. I booked rooms for the St Louis and Nashville shows on AirBnB for about 1/3 of what a decent hotel was going to cost. Definitely a great option.

On second thought,
aaAaavvllll(rrrrrgeeeeeeeeeennndddoooocctttwiihhh) uussd.dj5yybmb
has all the exact same characters as
"All evergreen decorations (wreaths included) should be removed by January 5th."
except the "encrypted message" on top is short s,n,u,r
so whatever that means

Lateralus
As I recall, the big banners with the different layers of the body were unfurled during the Grudge. Red metallic confetti rained down during The Patient. And Lateralus is the baddest ass closer ever.

I have this show on a bootleg DVD. What an awesome show. I've prob watched it 1000 times. Now I just pop it in and crank the volume while I clean the house or similar.

considering all my shows are post-2006 the only songs left that i REALLY want to see live are Eulogy, H and D/R/T. the pre-aenema albums i can live without. the grudge and no quarter were very welcomed surprises.
only three left to go.
