As i am inclined to harp about it whenever i m thinking about this song, the sounds of crickets and frogs in the background is my favorite part of the album, bringing a rather organic feel to Tools mechanical and less emotional sound. It brings the whole emotion of the song to a head for me, and i "get it", so to speak. but I have a problem relating hwo I get it. kinda like those damn Zen parables that make the back of your neck warm and give you a fuzzy feeling when you "understand" it. But im just rambling and taking up bandwidth.
thass all.
I actually believe those crickets may have been a message to Bill Hicks fans as well... Bill was famous for saying that when he tripped, he would always hear crickets.
