hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

who are we?
what are we doing here?
What are we supposed to do
are we creations.. or creators..
these questions have been bugging me ever since i started thinking for myself..
be born ..give birth...die....
is that all?
are we the result of a series of coincidences?
if there really is a creator or something...why doesnt he turn up...whats the point of concealing himself?
if life is just a dream what is the reality?
I know that this might not be the best place to hold this personal kind of question
but I believe that in this viscinity im not the only one who thinks this way..
Does meditation and sprituality hold an answer or its a puzzle in itself
I want to know what you guys think about it...
please help me out...

No. There is no coincidence.
We are pieces of this Creator you are looking for. God lives in your heart. We conceal God with our obedience to the senses/consciousness.
Life is a dream, an important dream.
Meditate if that's what you feel the need to do. The pieces fit, but no two parts take the same road back to ''One,'' live your life, your true life. Dispose of the false ego and find True Will.

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

There isn't an answer to your questions, yet.

I say yet because, we're close. Closer than we think.

Physically, the 'key' lies somewhere out there.
Spiritually, the 'key' lies somewhere in here. (Ourselves)

The best we can do Spiritually is to constantly reverse engineer the structures of the Human Psyche.. As any author, poet, painter, artist knows.. the mark of the creator is written all throughout it's creation.. no matter what.. It's just a matter of reading between the lines.

Physically we need to search new perspectives all the time. Challenge the body to open up. There is still much to learn about our own biochemical structure and still much to learn on the smaller microscopic scale and the larger galactical scale of things.

Einstein, Jung, Leary, McKenna, Frost.. all great minds who have passed away relatively recently. So many to name. As a society, we should follow the leaders and keep going in the directions they've pointed us in. Even if we disprove their theories.. fine. That's all well and good, at least thats a step in the right direction.

But are you the first one to ask yourself these questions? No. I've certainly asked Myself eerily similiar things for many many sleepless nights now.

It's the existential dilemma. "Who am i? Ooh, who am i?'' There's ways to figure it out, but i doubt it's 'out' before 'in'.

Another perspective
some say we are here for our fellow beings
why then when i win there are a hundred who lose?
when i earn a penny there is someone who is left void of one?
Why do i feel happy when i have something most others dont?
this endless errand of life and death
there has to be an end to this constant struggle...

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

We do this to ourselves. I know how you feel. LISTEN TO ONE THING: your heart. If the hobo says ''hey buddy, got a dollar?'' why the fuck not? But if someone is taking advantage of you, learn to notice.
It's time to dust off Old Faithful: Think for yourself, question authority.
Only you can tell yourself what's going on, everything else is JUST INFORMATION to you.

Someday, you might find yourself just information as well, then, all of a sudden connected, in the true spirit of the great life-dream, to any and all things.

Then you might start having fun.

Real work is fun.

I run a kitchen for money.

I hate money.

I hate my kitchen.

Fake work = wasted life.

My kitchen = fake work.

What is my life?

O M G! Dude! That's really awesome. Why don't more people see this? There is no such thing as death. Death is only an elevation of ourselves. "There is a higher version of yourself waiting to say hello."

Thanks dude.

Ok, well, what if i'm a dick my whole life? What if i'm a rotten dealer scumbag who did nothing but hurt people and beat women all his life? What do you think of his ''elevation?'' I only say this because it seems to me that my world is cluttered, by casualties of the wasted life we have been living: Spiritless spirits: good people, bad people, either way, lost people.
Lost here, away from one.

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

i heard a man saying..
we spend the best part of our lives earning enough that would suffice till old age
and spend our old age wishing we had done something better and enjoyed in the bygone part

maybe life is "DO WHAT YOU WANT TO"
and the line between good and evil is "ITS ONLY WRONG IF YOU GET CAUGHT"

You sir, need a vacation. Get a job that pays the bills, fucking do something with your time. Yes, only a complete nitwit would want nothing more than a shit job and two days off in seven. So change it for yourself, how YOU want it.
Life is not ''DO WHAT YOU WANT TO'' life is ''DO WHAT YOU REALLY KNOW TO BE WHAT YOU WANT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE UNIVERSE.''

Look at it this way: what purpose does kidnapping and raping a child serve? Only your own selfish purposes. What purpose does reading a book serve? It passes on information. Now what would you pass on in a kidnapping/rape? Terror, disfunction, fear, murder.
Is this your True Will? To cause these things?
If that is the case, then know that it will be someoné elses' to destroy everything about you.
And they Will.
There is no right or wrong, but there sure as shit is a difference between mindless pleasure and deriving pleasure in purpose/epiphany.

It should always be for you, but why?

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

you seem to want other opinions. i have asked myself and other those questions that were asked at the beginning a thousand times. i don't think anyone can know their purpose, and i don't think anyone has the ability to understand their purpose at the moment. Many people come up with revelational views that in some way or another attempt to satisfy these questions, Christianity, Muslims, Hindus, they all are just attempting to fill the void in their minds with something that is mindless.
Life is for living. no matter what you believe, spiritual, Higher beings, karma, the best way to live your life is by doing what you want to. At the end of the day nobody knows what the hell is really going on, any thoughts that attempt to question this are just theories, which can be proven and disproven a thousand times.

though saying this it is enjoyable to question ourselves, so why not ask these questions and attempt to discover something more to life. thats what i do, i constantly question all that is around me, and act as the devils advocate with alot of subjects, but it is needed. people need to try and disprove something, if they fail to do that then its something worth holding onto. though in one way or another everything has an uncertainty to it.

don't know what you'll make of that, i dont even know what i make of it, lol.

i kinda agree with you dude..
people just try to come up with senseless solutions...at times..
all believes ,all theological concpts are questionable in one form or the other..
but the cosmos..,the earth...,our evolution...,all seem to be either controlled by some higher being, whatever that maybe...
there probably is something...

i agree, i would say i believe, just i don't know what i believe in.
I fail to see how we can know what that something is, but as a society i think were in that annoying state where we are intelligent enough to know that there could be something more than just ourselves and what we see out there.
I find it strange yet amusing that even in todays society where people believe sciences are so developed and religions are so refined, that there are such large contradictions in the "truth".
For example, one of my close friends doesnt believe in evolution, in the way that i would perhaps take it to be. its an odd place where cultural differences such as this can exist without the world completely falling apart. syaing that however, the world is in quite a mess to be honest.

how about,"we being the imagination of ourselves"??
doesnt make sense this much..
but whatever divinity holds for us and no one has ever been able to uncover is not expected to make much sense...
how many of the people here belive in this theory???

The self is the imagination, the point where your skin ends and air begins, that is the illusion.

We are all one thing, forced (or decided) to view itself in the terms of this reality.
The true self is as much you as anything else.

A myriad of bands of light, all heading back home....

Patience, i learned this through patience, plus i know a little physics (M theory, string research). I haven't had the best luck with meditation, i had a long standing issue with the... ummm.. drugs. So the Yogic manner of breathing is... ummm, difficult for me.
So i have to find another way to get that done.
Life is also a meditation of sorts, when you think about it.
So yes.

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

Mucho take it easy. You are coming to conclusions that don't always line up with your topic.

Last night, i'm trying desperately to ignire what i hope is not strep throat, when my hand almost moves on its own to my wife's right shoulder, just inside and toward the neck a bit. My thumb and index fingers immediately began to massage her trapezius.
She thanked me, then said something very important in the rest of my life: did i ask you to do that? I said no. She said: well, i was thinking about it, and in that very spot.
I have some skill with massages, but i found that if i just let go, had my hand move the way it did when i hardly felt i was controlling it at all on the way to her shoulder, the knots went away (almost?) completely.
I am known to overanalyse things, but i always justified it by the inherent ignorance in this place, how it hides behind words like ''advancement'', ''modern'', ''new and improved.''
When the muscle knots were gone, i lay back, totally unaware of the sore throat. As i lay there, i closed my eyes, saw the usual ''electric chalkboard effect'' so many of us can identify with. As i did, i felt warmer, more comfortable than i have ever before. I hardly noticed i wasn't breathing, or breathing very slowly.
Then my head took a breath. I swear. I can't explain it, but it was like my third eye took a deep breath of something wonderful. A gold-looking light came over or out of my body, i exhaled through my mouth (i think), and looked at my wife and smiled.

All that, just from letting my heart do the work.
I can analyse compicated diagrams or blueprints with my head, but from now on, i'll leave it up to my heart.

it feels so much better to give it all up...

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

all that matters is that you enjoy your existence. you wouldn't have reason to make the best of your short life if your life wasn't short.

so just enjoy life, do what you can to ensure that you'll continue to enjoy yourlife, but not so much that you wouldn't have enjoyed your life as much as possible if you were to die tomorrow.

dont remind me that it isn't friday until it's time for bed.

how do you know god exists?

how do you, yourself, sam905, define god?

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

Unfortunately God is not an easy issue. No matter what someone says, the ending of the argument is simply: We cant prove anything. I have faith that God exists through personal experiences and experiments.. but it also takes faith and trust in things that I cannot see but I can sense. There are feelings, thoughts, emotions that are unexplainable and a force that guides Me because I allow it to. Its too hard to explain, and I try not to. The Direction Ive been steered in, and Jevons will probably agree.. is that God has something to do with Love and God has something to do with the Word or in another term.. the language that makes up the Universe. (Just like Computer Coding makes up a Website or another Code on a CD makes a Video Game 'World'). Science and Psychology arent far enough advanced to understand our Physical Being and The Religion Ive been raised in (Christianity) in My opinion has been so badly skewed by Idiots and Greedy Fuckers it's almost completely unrealistic to walk into any Church and expect to hear anything close to the 'truth'. But.. across different religions the fundamentals remain the same.. help each other and be peaceful beings and move together into the future.. so I guess that's where We can all start.

Sorry for butting in. I apologize. I couldnt help myself. I really am sorry. =)

I can respect that.

I don't approve of fundamentalism, but a fundamental of love and respect can't be a bad one.

I have to respect that as well. I mean, Come on. Jung, 46 & 2. The Shadow. These things are all important.. all necessary for Us to have a choice. I think I should rephrase My previous statement. Maybe its that, we should strive to agree to help one another instead of killing each other and being greedy and self-indulgent. The Wise among us realize that most self-indulgent practices work towards goals that hold no purpose or meaning after death.. and is really detrimental to the growth and movement of the Human Race. Maybe its that we need to work towards an agreement to understand to love and respect each other, to work towards progress and not fight over pieces of land.

Kinda like Reflection meets Right in Two?

Fuck fundamentalism, in fact, fuck every 'ist and 'ism that there has ever been and ever will be. All they do is perpetuate a negative esoteric existence wherein we all have to pretend to view humanity in a heirarchical fashion. This is not the case. Nothing matters, and so everything is worth the same.
That is God: the recognition that because nothing really matters, everything deserves it's own singular appreciation ((i don't want to be a mineral deposit, but i recognize that it has a place here, so thank you mister salt mine; same goes for you tree.)) as well as a place in the greater oneness of things. This process will probably lead me to being in a compassionate state, one of love for all things.
That's God: whole love.
End search.

because "fuck fundamentalism" is so loving.

I do agree with you, but a fundamental of love and forgiveness can't possibly hurt anyone. slaughtering an animal for sustenance has nothing to do with love or its opposite.

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

Oh, my sweet naieve Rat of the Labs, think about that. There is no consciousness without pain (Jung, QFT); what that means is that until we experience the cold, hard reality that pretty much nothing in this life is fair, or cuddly, or even fucking friendly, we can't really comprehend this life.
Not love in a ''teatime with granny and daisies and fluffy little jizzms in the air'' sense of the word, love in the sense of respect, understanding of necessity.
Love is pain.
Think about it: i love my mother, she is an idiot. She will die alone, ignorant and trembling, despite the fact that she does not have to. That is enough to make me want to kill myself; i thought about it, tried to, slowly.
Love is an understanding that the pain is an illusion.
What we see is an interpretation of reality, a distortion, if you will. We are told things like: it is what it is-- which is true, but also a lie. The universe is what it is, however we are interpreting it in a way that has been carefully laid out for us to digest and expell in a certain way. Thus, we are in a prison of sorts. What they say is true, but the context is a fallacy. We can superceed this through gaining control of our minds, hence escaping an esoteric universe.
(have you ever thought without words? Would you remember if you do?)

''Devour to survive.''

There is a difference between the way we slaughter our animals in America and a respectful way, a way that lets them live, not suffocate with diseases and bacteria in a giant metal grid before being decapitated and slung onto a big metal conveyor belt.
It is alright to eat things, if you don't you'd die. It is alright to wear designer clothes, but don't let them become who you are, instead remember they are just what you wear.
It is how you eat things. If you eat in a mindless fashion, there is no connection to the universe, you are not respecting the life of the bean, and how it is connected to you in every concievable way. All you are doing is surviving. Once we realise the ritual in the feast, we realise that it is love. The bean is justified, think about it: what the fuck else could a bean hope to do except to be enjoyed and reproduce? You, and only you, in that moment, can justify the entire relationship of all things.
Are humans much different than the bean i described? We all seek vindication.

Some pain is avoidable, if these things are understood. Other pain must be transcended through a faith of sorts.

And there is no hate in the ''fuck fundamentalism'' statement. It needs to go, like marketing, or press releases. There are some things that cannot be permitted to survive. It is in the interests of the greater good of this planet that i say that, so it is really out of love.

Re: hold on..,read this!,its important...its not poetry..

everything you've said makes sense, but under your own explanation is also just another way of looking at things.

the only true knowledge you can have is that you know nothing at all.

who said that?
