Nope, not Vic. Its Port Stephens in NSW. Given the weather today... :( its so cold and almost summer.. doesnt quite add up really =p

Edit: I forgot my photo..

No.. I am not talented or lucky enough to photograph lightning! I filmed a storm out in the country one night in January this year and later extracted the frames with Video2Photo. There were way too many to chose from, but i think this ones pretty cool anyway =p

Damn straight, that's awesome. I tried a few nights ago when there was a storm on to catch a flash, and after standing out in the rain for ages, I got one out of focus bolt... It'd still be cool to get a good one. Like this.

Port Stephens is awesome, I went up there for a holiday a while back. Good times.

Just uploaded this one:

and...

@paragon: Sweet shot man, loving the contrast and colours!

@one_reflection: good job on capturing that, lightning is no easy subject to get a shot of.

I'm partial to the picture of your Basset, my first dog happened to be one so naturally i harbor an affinity for them, despite there unparalleled ability to be stubborn. I liked all the shots though.

Nice work mate, Im looking to upgrade to the D200 next year sometime, although im finding no limitations with the D70, Nikon really make awesome camera's. They seem to put more effort into build quality and ergonomics than the other brands, especially with their entry level gear. To me that shows theyre thinking more about the consumer satisfaction than a lot of other company's.
