In today's issue of the Danish paper Politiken, there was a note claiming that TOOL will be playing at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (June 29 - July 2). Also, it said, that this ought to be confimed tomorrow at the official festival website www.roskilde-festival.dk. So tune in on this site sometime tomorrow....

i highly doubt they will release an album and then start touring a few weeks later without allowing the fans to digest the music.

They kicked off the Lateralus tour on the day the album was released (15-May-2001). Four shows in the US, then they headed to Europe.

waited at a ticketmaster outlet for quite a few hours before they went on sale and got the limit of 2 tickets the second they were available. i was the only person to get tickets at that outlet because they sold out in about 30 seconds.

probably the best way to get tickets to a small venue like hammerstein would be from tool army...otherwise its probably impossible. i waited on line outside virgin megastore to get system of a down tickets to webster hall for 11 hours and didnt get the ticks.

Yeah, hopefully if they do any smaller venues there will be a pre-sale on TA. I sure as hell don't want to wait hours in line and get nothing for it.

I'm hoping to see them when they come back and tour the US. Probably around August and October

it was absolutely sick/insane.

do you live close to the city? i lived upstate about an hour and a half. i would suggest finding some remote place that has a ticket master outlet and you hopefully being one of only a few people there. that's how i used to get all of my tickets. i lived in a rural area, so it was easy for me, but if you really want the tix, don't goto a place in a very populated area expecting to get tickets.

I paid $140 and got to see the 4th american tour date on may 20th! it was one of the best concert of my live entitled AN EVENING WITH TOOL!!!!


MY FIRST TOOL SHOW AND I ALMOST SHIT MYSELF WHEN THEY OPENED WITH THE GRUDGE, THE WHOLE CONCERT WAS SO MEMORABLE! PLUS HAMMERSTEIN RULES!

TOOL, alongside the great Franz Ferdinand and the amazing Kanye West. I like one of the three....

well, if you don't get the presale, it would totally be worth it to drive an hour in some direction to a mostly unknown ticketmaster outlet. i'm in san diego now, i gotta find something like that, but it's way too populated around here.

why does everyone say to go to a ticketmaster outlet? why not ticketmaster.com? is there an advantage to going to an outlet??

also, with these 4 US shows when lateralus came out, was it possible to get tix if you weren't in TA?

Exactly. But they did do some pre-sales for APC through TA.

I remember trying to get tickets to the NIN show in Atlanta during their club tour through ticketbasterd.com. I did it within 10 minutes of tickets going on sale, both shows were sold out. If Tool does a similar mini-tour for this album, expect the same result if you use the website. Also, I dunno about other venues, but none of the the venues in Jacksonville make every ticket available to ticketbasterd, so if you can, it would probably be just as smart to drop by the venue to pick up some tickets.

For the NIN club tour I had both of my computers at Ticketbastard. One for Chicago and one for Toronto cause they are each about the same distance from Detroit. Right around 10am is when I started refreshing and luckily got tickets for Toronto.

if you try to get tool tickets online for a mini-tour, you're most likely going to be very disappointed. the website can't handle all the traffic it will get and you'll end up waiting and waiting just for them to tell you it sold out, because the shows will sell out in a minute or less. that's what happened for a NIN show last year, and i think tool will sell out faster than NIN. i didn't really care that much about the NIN tix, which is why i didn't goto the ticketmaster outlet, but i wouldn't take that chance with tool.

i doubt tool will do a club tour, their stage set up is too big
