Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

I just want to publically say that i HATE ticketmaster. They keep saying that the ATL show doesn't exist! The tickets go onsale next saturday, and it doesn't exist?? Really? Then are the tickets free? Bastards. Ticketmaster is evil.

Pfft- that ain't nuthin! Have them cancel an order sometime because they could not verify your cc online and then get booted to the back of the queue. THEN let me know how you feel.

Yes, they are evil. Very very evil. But the last time someone stood up to them, they got pwned. We're stuck with em.

BTW, the Vegas shows have been confirmed for the new dates, but TM has simply removed one of them and left the other up there as TBA. So your complaint is kind of normal for them. And no listing of the new SD show yet either. That goes on sale next week as well.

waste of money, don't join
if it's a big venue you shouldn't have a problem getting tickets at 10am on ticketmaster

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

So any idea WHEN canadian dates will be rescheduled?
I check the site daily...even if they won't be till June/July, i'd like to know.
So if anyone can kindly interrupt Maynard from running his fingers through his mowhawk for only a few seconds so he can tell us the dates...that would be great

His arm is fine now. THey are touring again shortly...just they rescheduled most everything but Canadian dates....and i'll continue to bring up Maynard, his mowhawk, his love for his mowhawk, and whatever else I have to bring up until those dates are rescheduled.

Or if things get really desperate, and things aren't panning out any other way - there's always the option of just going down to the arena the day of the concert... there is ALWAYS a group of people that get there and find out their buddy got arrested on the way to the show (or couldn't make it for some other reason...) and you'll be able to snag a decent bargain priced ticket from the unfortunate group whose friend is in the pokey ... or a scalper if worse comes to worse. somehow those bastards always have like 25 of the best tickets for the low-low price of an arm and a leg.

It has probably already been posted but here is a good link explaining in detail how the stage was built for the latest tour, also revealing how the projection on the floor works.

Pretty interesting: http://livedesignonline.com/concerts/tool_time/

Anyone have any word on the colorado springs Show. The only place it seems to exist is at the tour section. I have been checking Ticketmaster but of course they are not really a source of information.

Wichita

Anyone know the deal on the wichita show? No thread, not listed on ticketmaster. I was hoping to buy tickets tomorrow morning, I can't figure out what the deal is. It says right on Toolband.com they go on sale 3/24, but ticketmaster has nothing and toolnavy has no thread. any insight?

Dunno why, but that made me think of this- I was 12, and KISS was in town in 1979, Albuquerque, Tingley Coliseum. Paul Stanley comes bounding out as Detroit Rock City opens and says 'Hello Phoenix!'. Turns out the roadies who write up the scripts for the shows like to mess with the singers who are often so tired and out of it they don't know what city they are in. :D

Yeah, they definitely were cheaper. $57.00 a ticket, after service fees.

I know what you mean! I was on right at 10am and the ticket wait jumped to over 15 minutes. WTF??? I kept waiting though and got tickets about 20 minutes later. I wanted lower level for Orlando and Jax - got 'em both. But the show in Sunrise Florida had no floor tickets available when my number was called. Kinda sucks, but oh well. 2 out of 3 isn't bad. I will have to pay the big bucks now through some broker for those floor tickets.

I'd try the TM auction first. $70 for GA floor right now.

My floor tickets bought at 10:00AM for Greenville are listed as "Floor Seating" FL3 Row L. Does this mean that Tickets *in seats* are being sold for the floor? What About General Admission?
