How many TOOL ARMY members are here? As most of you know the majority of the TOOL ARMY site has been down since late October and as a result I am sure quite a few of us have joined here. This is a pretty cool site but as far as navigation goes it is quite different. Has anybody out there heard of when the "sister" site might be back to fully operational? Speculation is welcome. It is nice to be apart of this community. Thanks for any and all input.....Especially the smart ass comments. Looking forward to them.

Yeah, i too noticed that alot of new members joined TDN lately.
They're mostly active in the "General Tool tour questions / discussion"-thread, imo
Ehh I don't regret paying to join TOOL ARMY at all. Really you pay for the membership and the T-shirt, patch and whatever else comes with the package, being a member of the forum is free......Technically. Then of course there are the pre-sales. LMAO. Lets not forget exclusive access to Blair's some times unintelligible blatherings. Thank you for the welcome Yast3r.
Yeah, what is funny is there weren't any pre-sales for the last tour and I definitely agree the redundant set list was kind of lame but I didn't see them this time around anyway. I would still enjoy the show for sure though. I always do. Are you guys not TOOL fans? (Mooseifer) I must have been thrown off by the name of this web site. Ha. I am not sure how many of you guys around here get to read some of what Blair posts but cryptic is an understatement depending on what kind of literature you are into, entertaining though and thats enough for me.
No. No surprise at all, and some of them I can't blame. Lately, I myself have had a bitter taste but that is as far as it goes. I am a fan of the music first so what they do or don't do extracurricular-y doesn't really bother me.

Well many of us (perhaps you included) have been listening to Tool for 10 years or more, and with only a few albums, it's easy to get burnt out. I have well over 100 bootlegs and I got burnt out on them too. I reserve Tool for just special times now...

Yep all true. Just have to patiently wait for another album, then get burned out on that one. They do what they do and we get what we get.
I am still a fan but, the lack of changes to songs in a set list isn't really something to get excited over. Especially these days when bands are playing full albums from start to finish or constantly changing the set every night.
Plus the whole crappy Puscifer thing has become very stale (to me anyway) and it gets in the way of Tool recording new material.

Puscifer's live shows are badass. Constantly switching up the setlist, playing two completely different shows if they spend two nights in the same city, funny video interludes, Maynard being down to earth and funny, and the live versions of their songs kick the ass right off the album versions. Download a boot and see what's up. PM me if you want one.

I received a message from a fellow TA'er who frequents the Baked Potato and passed along some information I thought you guys would be interested in....
So guys, I just came home from a very interesting and informative night... After talking to Blair I was told that the people that are posting in the past tour section and past articles are considered hackers. These people might actually be removed because they are stalling the site's re-vamp. Apparently, the people in charge cannot figure out how people are able to post in these parts and thus, they are not giving us back our site. SO... please, refrain from posting there and tell anyone else that you know is posting to stop because they might actually lose their accounts. Management is especially suspicious of ******** because there are very weird things going on with his/her account.
I don't mean to kill anyone's buzz with this, just telling you what I know to save people's accounts from being deleted.
A good day to you all!
and.....
Blair cannot make any kind of post without authorization from Tool. He was explicit last night about how the band wanted the site down since there were hackers that had even gone as far as to access credit card information. The band does not want the site up and running unless they are sure that incidents like these will not be possible in the future. And Danny was there and he agreed to everything Blair said.
Trust me, Blair is the good guy in this case, he's on our side, if you had talked to him you would see that. He's definitely not an asshole, he just really cannot tell anything without permission from the band. He did say though that the site will be back soon and it will be new. They have all been waiting for artwork for the website from Adam but Adam has been postponing it forever. He's been in London for months now without sign of ever doing what he is supposed to do.
hmm.....at least do you dudes only pay once? cuz that would be a huge issue if you had to renew it. I for one have thought about it just to take a look but cant bring myself to pay to entertain myself when bored.

It's a one off payment. If it were an annual subscription there is little chance I'd still be a member of this borderline scam.

I'm just extremely happy that they have shared their awesome talant with the world. Is the whole site down or just a portion of it?
