To deprive (one) of something; bereave. To rob, plunder, or pillage.
So that fits the Steal/Borrow bit.

Most people confuse imply with infer. When you suggest a conclusion, you're implying it. When you deduce or derive a conclusion from known data, you're infering it. The easiest way to remember it is: "You infer FROM things that are implied."

That said, a shady inference, to me, means that the data implies one thing, but the pot ("you" in the song) puts a spin on it in such a way that something altogether different can be inferred from it. These inferences, these conclusions, are therefore shady (something's a little fishy about them).

Nard is listing the ways one can use shady conclusions: steal or borrow them (the way most people take up arms against drugs not because they know for a fact that drugs kill, but because the govt tells them drugs kill), reap or save them (you reap what you sow -- sow lies about Iraqi freedom and WMDs, you'll get the war you want).

As far as the "eyehole"... I do hear that quite clearly. But, to give my own explanation, or definition for it, I would have to say that the implication is of someone who is not really "seeing the forest for the trees" so to speak. Someone who isn't really all there. One who has been brainwashed, more or less. This would explain why they are saying the things they say in complete contradiction to their own actions. So,
"eyehole" can very well refer to what the person now possesses after being 'fucked in the head' or 'mindfucked' or however the rest of you might say it.

Just a thought on my side, maybe at the ending it's really "Ganja please" and "Ganja" is a nickname for the person that is accused by Maynard, because that person is "the pot", another word for Ganja. And please like in "Come on, Ganja!".

i think that even relates to eyeballs full of muddy water- as in eyes full of mascara that is then running down her face in chosen shades of indigo.

however, i don't know why maynard would write about tammy faye baker. did she ever go on a rant against drugs when she was on that "real world" type show on vh-1 for washed-up celebrities? i thought she was like the house-mother to all the rest of them and acted somewhat reformed from that fundamentalist evangalist-crying for jesus thing that she was.

He sings something like "you're", which would fit "I'm". "I'm" is "eye" + "m". I can hear that m. But then again, I hear that m in "you're" too. So, it hasn't got to be "I'm", it can be "eye". But "eye" doesn't fit "you're". Do you get why I want to have the lyrics so badly?

I really like this, I think this may be correct. I think the basic statement of this song is 'You chose me to blame when you are just as guilty as anyone. Now, because of this I am exposing you for who you are and embarassing you for it'

Having stated that, I think that the inspiration for this song was Courtney Love. When MJK made the "Save Frances Bean" T-shirts, she reportedly called him a "media whore". Who wears more makeup and is consistently more high than Courtney Love? OK dont answer that. I'm sure there are many others, but, in this case, I think Courtney is the proverbial "pot".

As far as the makeup relating to the 'chosen indigo' lines, I agree for the most part , but here is a suggestion I have for ending of the song:
