You guys are assuming he always--if at all--uses the same amount of asterisks as letters. I'm sure at times the two weren't equal and asterisk were just used to hide the word(s).

Beyond that, I think attempting to decipher them is pointless because Blair wouldn't take the chance of people deciphering worthwhile information. So, my point is, I'm sure the secrecy is levels deep before being able to be deciphered, otherwise Blair would be in heaps of trouble. I say just wait for official word

These names sound very contrived from someone trying to imitate tool names. Also, Pascal's wager, Lol.

A friend and I used to mess with a mutual friend before 10,000 days became official, writing coded messages, linking to shit, to get dude to decipher it and think he cracked it (always regarding the awaited tool release, obviously).

This is someone who contrived all the elements (has a source, weird names, release date, delete shortly after to suggest "uh oh shouldn't have revealed classified information") and executed them on the tool subreddit... What a fantastic spot for such highly anticipated information

If I was as involved in the tool sphere as I used to be or thought it entertaining, id do the same
Shit as many times as I could get away with it, just to get a good laugh out of it.

When any actual information comes out, I'm positive it will be very obvious and unsuspicious

The only actual valid information I can point to right now is in that long recording of a VIP session with Adam when he says:

1) 10,000 days is not the last album
2) don't look too deep into their shit cuz "that stuff just is not there"

Point being, they definitely intend on releasing another album, they have certainly worked on it and have been in the studio, we know that, to what degree it's unclear but it's safe to assume they have completed SOME things, and everything else is just hearsay.

Frankly, I'm focusing very little on new tool and I think it'll make the album better... Too much preliminary focus can only heighten expectation and considering how.. I don't want to say uninterested but...unurgent this album seems to be for them, who the fuck knows what this thing is going to be. Maynard doesnt scream like he used to, and has said he's worked through a lot of his past issues, Justin has said they've struggled a lot with writers block this time around, they're all 50 or so years old with families and they're comfortable.... This is not the band that wrote aenima or undertow or lateralus or even 10,000 days.

Adam said they take tool as it comes and whenever they're ready then they get together and do it. and I think we the fans should follow suit. Just chill out, wait for the official stuff to pop up on toolband, and go from there. I mean pick your year, you could go as far back as 2012, 2013 and sift through all the quotes, the speculation, the rumors, the revelations about new CDs about videos about live footage and no tidbit of valuable information can be established.

So, what difference does it make? Forget about tool until they have their album ready to go, and all this lofty speculation can cease

Any one find it suspicious that Maynard would even respond to a Reddit post? I'm not saying the album is coming out in October but I just find it funny that if none of that post was true why would he even spend the time acknowledging it? Eve of it only took him a second.

I have no idea where we are at with it, and at this point I know it eventually will be out so I don't stress about it. But I do believe there is more progress on it than we are led to believe.

I find it a little suspicious as well. But don't know at the moment what to make of it.
