Hey everybody. Im doing a project about all the different themes and subjects that are accociated with Tool and their lyrics. Some time ago (a few years) there was a website that went through all the songs and gave a lot of information on the subjects. For intance there was loads of text on there about Third Eye, not the song but actual eastern beliefs on the third eye. The website had tons and tons of text, one interesting subject I remember was lacromology, something that has been hinted at in Tools lyrics.
Well anyway I cant seem to find this site and I was wondering if anyone here knows where to find it, what happened to it or if there is a similar site somewhere out there on the www.
I would greatly appreciate loads of background info on Tool lyrics, not necessarily how people interprit them but the background stuff where the inspiration came.
Thank you!

well heres some themes to help you out anyway.
spiritual evolution (both as a force we are subjectivly experiencing and a force that we are subconciously searching out and reaching for): Flood, 46&2, Third Eye, Lateralus.
being at the bottom. or in a place where the only way out is up to (through) positivity: Bottom, Swamp Song, Undertow, The Grudge, Reflection, Vicarious, Right in Two
Regression into childhood memories, or repressed memories as therapy or as a device to necessary to aid spiritual evolution: Prison Sex, Third Eye, Jimmy, Wings for Marie/10Kdays
Technology as a negative force. (or humanity using technology to our disdain): Stinkfist, Vicarious, Intension, Right In Two.
hoped that helped at all. maybe ill post more later.

Thanks guys!! Yeah the site was innuendocornecopria I guess its not around any more. But your comments and links have helped alot already. And if anyone wants to list more wierd and odd thing of science and the unexplainable here that would be cool.
I remember the site also had things on mandalas, demons, some strange scientists and mythology.
Again, thanks!!

And don't forget anal sex and hallucinogenic drugs, both huge driving forces in the creation of their music.
(no joke)

yes anal sex.. very important proponent of early tool.. even later.. well up until stinkfist etc. lateralus was a step away from raw sexual imagery towards the spiritual..
but yes .. evolution, surpassing yourself, realizing compassion, purification, subconscious/superconscious energies etc. etc.
the list can be as long or as short as you want.. I personally suggest you read some Nietzsche before you dig into this stuff.. i dont know if hes on their recomended list or not, but a lot of the themes of overcoming, becoming the overman, etc. can be traced back to his works.. so start with that, read some Jungian stuff (no need to go too deep.. just the basic stuff) listen to a few of Bill Hick's shows.. and just take it from there.. it'll come to you..
