are you sure about that 23 seconds? granted it's been a while since my human anatomy class in college, but I got an A in the class and I distinctly recall it being something on the order of 5 minutes for blood to circulate all the way from being osmotized through the lung wall to being re-circulated all the way back to the re-intake of the heart.

i remember when dissectional first appeared and i spent hours at a time just exploring it, i once found a page where danny(?) recommended some books.. one of those was Cosmic Trigger by robert anton wilson (which i have been re-reading for the umpteenth time, for the past 2 weeks.. funny coincidence. ....)
anyone who's read much of bob's work is well aware of the cosmic (or humorous) significance of 23, and people who have been initiated into the mystery are quite fond of tossing out 23s and 5s as a nudge-nudge-wink-wink to fellow explorers.

(yes i also noticed that it's the first numbers of the fibonacci sequence, which follows the phi ratio which is aka the golden ratio like the golden apple and apples have a five-sided star inside them if you cut them in half from the side and.. well you get the idea.)
