This is great news!! I'm glad I waited on deciding whether or not to do Mexico - this makes the decision very easy. See you in March California [and/or Seattle/Vegas/Portland/Vancouver]

its not my favorite, they do play there pretty "often" so it's not a huge surprise.
Hopefully LA will be at Nokia..
Its an older venue that was primarily used for sports for a ling time. It was built in 1915 and holds around 6K. So its pretty small..

$75 sounds only expensive if they play the same setlist that I saw in 2012. Honestly though for Tool with all the visuals I don't mind pay $75 for a ticket. I might even spend more because of the VIP package they are going to do.

Its not outrageous, but I wouldn't call it reasonable either, especially if TM adds $20 of fees...
I just paid $45 for QOTSA..
but hey it's Tool...

Yeah $75 for Tool is not bad at all. I just saw NIN in November here in Seattle and they were $99 a ticket for GA so after TM charges 2 tickets were $230.

Looks like there will be VIP tickets available via Toolarmy. They were pretty expensive when they did these in Oz, so I'd be expecting these would be at least $300.

Did you get the VIP Tickets in Oz? If you did then what did the VIP tickets get you?

I didn't personally, but the description sounds much the same as what was offered down here. The only addition is access to some kind of VIP area. Not sure exactly what this would mean.

Oh yea! LA dates now please!
Sure wish that SF date wasn't a weekday. I'd happily do it.

The last two "tweener" tours had some pretty deep cuts and surprises.
I wonder what they have thier collective sleeves this time..

Welcome aboard.
They have about a week or so between SF and Mexico dates - so obviously they will/may add a few shows in between on the way down. Obvious one is LA, with side chance of San Diego, Phoenix, Tucson or Albrque. That is just my opinion though.

The arena in Portland is bigger (12 vs 19K) but Portland will probably be a cheaper flight and there is more to do there...

Hi everyone, been listening to Tool since '98 (holy hell I'm old). Seen them a handful of times, but not since 2006 at Coachella (holy hell I'm old).
I'm planning to see them in Spokane on the 4th. I have a few questions. Thanks in advance if you can help me out!
1) My flight gets in around 7:45 p.m. The show is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. Any word if there will be an opening band, or will Tool go at 8:00 p.m. I'm praying to Moloch that it's the former.
2) Anyone ever been to Spokane Arena before? Can they comment on the sound quality?
3) I'm shooting for 100 level side seated tickets. Will they all be gone in the first five seconds? I'm a bit out of touch with the level of Tool fervor in America.
Again, thanks!

First 5 seconds, yes. I doubt Tool will take the stage until 930.

Flying in at 7:45pm is cutting it much finer than I would! It was almost 9:30 on the dot they took the stage at the show here last year.

To be honest I would advise against this if possible. You are playing with fire. ANY slight delay in the flight whatsoever (weather, delays, etc.) and you will certainly be fucked. However, if this is the absolute only option then I suggest avoiding any luggage so you can book it ASAP to the venue after you land. Give that taxi driver a nice tip incentive to speed :)
As for start times, it is almost a certainty (based on history) that there will indeed be an opening band. Usually opening band starts at 8;00 PM until 8:30 PM. TOOL goes on at 9:00-9:20 PM.
cheers

Thanks for the quick responses guys.
Unfortunately, I can't change my flight info. On my side, I won't be taking any luggage, and I have a friend picking me up from the airport. After that it's straight to the venue which is about fifteen minutes away.
I'm going to be sweating bullets that entire day.
Of course, I'm already sweating bullets over ticket stress already. Wish it was Saturday at 10:00 and I had my tickets ordered lol.
