I saw an interview from australian TV from the current tour where he mentioned taxi driver (among a few others wich i cant remember) as an example of movies similar to their music where you'd have to see them several times aswell as look at the whole picture or something... dont quote me on this, i can link the interview when i have more time, my point is just that he likes the movie and the hair might not just be coincidental... Imagine being someone Maynard looks up to, kinda bizarre :P

i see tickets for the kansas city show, go on sale this saturday, does anyone know, do they do pre-sales or anything, because i was iin chicago for the small tour, and couldnt even get one ticket the second they went on sale online, so i had to buy a ticket off ebay, just looking for some info so i will be prepared this time, if anyone has any insight, let me know

you'll be fine getting tix online right when they go on sale. these are all really big events so it shouldn't be anywhere near as big of a problem getting good seats as the warm up tour was.

Yeah, Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned was fucking awesome each time...though I have to say in the festival setting, making out Maynard's vocals at the beginning was quite impossible.
As for Fall European tour...guess it'll probably be another couple of months before we find that out for sure...pure speculation of course on my part
where are they going on sale? when? what the hell is going on in the universe? I hear that tickets for Camden are going on sale this saturday...and I look...and they are no where to be found! The show is in September and its mid July folks, they should have already been up a while ago! But this point aside, they still remain hidden to the general public. I called up ticketmaster (before) and they said they didnt even have tickets for them. Not to mention the website is at a loss for the show as well.

There is one in Columbus at the end of September I want to go to, but can't find anything on ticketmaster. Im really pissed off that TA members aren't getting pre-sale tix.
They went on sale last Saturday, but had a listing on Ticketbastard for a week or two previous. I went and waited in line for 4 hours to get them, and still got jipped out of floor tix.
i appreciate it. i'll call my friend back and ask him how where he got the date from. i just refuse to get dicked out of another tool show..
i did some checking the date is correct sept 28 tweeter center, prob be listed for sale soon... can't find nothing yet.

EDIT: when i heard they were coming back to my town on me loco radio, they said the date and shit so i check ticketbastards and they showed nothing, then a few days before they go on sale, boom there it is

okay these hot new tour dates have yet to be confirmed through toolband.com, on the other hand the German Sony/BMG website has been reliable in the past (remember the pre-10kDays Tool promo pics) , so... there:
Be still my beating heart....that would be amazing if it's confirmed!! Looks like they're doing southern Germany this time instead of just doing 3 dates up north...Man! I don't wanna get my hopes up too much, but this would be fuckin amazing...i'd definitely make it to the Munich and Stuttgart shows..
Oh I just checked the Zenith's website, and on their program list, they have mando diao playing on the 17th, and then a gap till muse in december.

there's also a flyer going 'round from MLK, a big german event company (the same who organized all previous german Tool gigs), with exact these dates on it. Says "in the pipeline" on it. No confirmation on the MLK website however.

What are you doing in Augsburg anyway? I used to live there until a couple of months ago, it's kind of my hometown lol. A city, yet a village at the same time.

Leider, spreche ich nicht Deutsches...but yeah I'm in Augsburg doin a praktikum...not the most exciting place to be ( a city, yet a village is accurate), was a bit of a shock to the system coming from a place like Melbourne...probably why i try to get into Munich often hehe. I hope to be around till the end of the year, so it would be good if those dates are somewhat true hehe

okay the german dates become more and more official. VISIONS magazine have posted the dates too (scroll down, beware it's german), they apparently also had a small chit-chat with Mr Jones regarding the tour.
I just read the new tour dates and all I can say is I hope there will be more, because from the looks of it the southeast region is screwed.
I know Tool has always played atlanta before so I don't know what the deal is???
But if they don't get down here for this tour I will be pissed!!!!
Do they not think we love to rock down south just as much as they do anywhere else!?!?
Anyway just though I would share my frustration and vent a little
Maynard was quoted as saying "we'll go everywhere this Fall, then in the new year go everywhere else." And since he's apparently been telling European audiences "see you in November," whaddya bet they'll do the US till the end of September, let Maynard stomp grapes in October, head overseas through the end of the year, then "go everywhere else" in the new year. That's my prediction...
And to their credit, you have to admit they tour their asses off after these albums. I mean, on the Lateralus tour, they came to Memphis, Nashville, AND Knoxville! That's killer! Relax....they'll come around. Save your money for when they do.

I live in Nashville and I must say that looking at the tour locations I am kinda ticked. I'll keep hope open for a show somewhere within 4-5 hours away (Memphis, Atlanta, Knoxville, Louisville, Birmingham, etc.) but from the looks of things we're getting skipped in the SE.
