They will sleep beside a road

Poppies will come in summer.
They will mail their future to

Took this one last night. For some reason I'm reminded of Cloud City from The Empire Strikes Back. I hope this looks alright on other monitors. I'm replacing my stone age LCD (that I got for free back when LCD's were "fancy") and getting an IPS LCD very soon.

that is really cool, hushy. looks like snow in the background. normally it might bother me but i think it works really well that the bottom of the car bleeds in with the foreground. maybe thats a monitor thing, though.

yeah, it wasn't my intention at first, but when I got home I decided to edit it that way. It reminded me of an 80's ad--there's some kind of headline at the top and then the text goes in the black space.
Although, my friend was shooting with me and I was using his lens and vice versa, and to my chagrin I think his version came out a little better:

Beloved of the rivers, beset
By azure water and transparent drops,
Like a tree of veins your spectre
Of dark goddess biting apples:
And then awakening naked
To be tattooed by the rivers,
And in the wet heights your head
Filled the world with new dew.
Water rose to your waist,
You are made of wellsprings
And lakes shone on your forehead.
From your sources of density you drew
Water like vital tears
And hauled the riverbeds to the sand
Across the planetary night,
Crossing rough, dilated stone,
Breaking down on the way
All the salt of geology,
Cutting through forests of compact walls
Dislodging the muscles of quartz.

Glenn, my browser loaded from the bottom up, but i didn't have to see your av to know that dandelion shot was yours. and no, the watermark had nothing to do with it. great colour as always.

a ways back in this thread (pg 22 or 23), I took photos at Luray Caverns. Here are a few newer ones
Dream Lake - the water is about 16 inches deep to show an amazing reflection of the stalactites above
that is awesome, rage. i want to come cave exploring with you someday.

Here is another of dream lake (w/different white balance settings) -- trying to find settings that work in the cave is the hardest part, but the scenery is out of this world
this photo is looking up a 30 ft / 10m column - the pics don't show you the proper scale

That's awesome, I didn't know I had such a distinctive style.
I like your first w/b setting better, rage. its amazing what a little adjustment can do for a shot. heres some mandatory fall photography, basically the same shot with white balance adjustments.

i put my cheap digital camera's lens up against the glass of my friend's fish tank, snapped a pic without realizing the flash was on, and forgot about it. This is how it turned out. i wish that i owned a fancy decent camera., but i found this curious nonetheless. :)
