^^ Oh, wow, i like that a lot. It reminds me of holidays when youd find a little motel in a small town cos the folks wanted a break from driving that night.

Went out for a last minute half hr shoot yesterday evening, light was bad, and I dont have a tripod yet so the noise in the sky Isnt helping anything, but I thought what the well, might as well upload it cos I personally like the tones and composition.
Thanks for the comments mike & reflection, greatly appreciated. Ill be pushing myself to get a shot up everyday, it'll also be something to get me shooting on a daily basis, practice, practice, practice!
Found these old broken down houses today, thought they might look ok in a photo. Fairly happy with the way they turned out, used a bit of PS to give them that darker, erie feel tho.
Akasha I must say, your pictures are comparable to National Geographic quality.
Thanks, I wish though, If I were that good id be working for them, lol, still a VERY long way to go till im at that level i rekon.

Nope, im just giving it a single sharpen in PS, havent even got a basic tripod yet! Only been doing this for a week so im getting a tripod as soon as I have some spare cash!

That's pretty neat then. I got myself a canon 350D a little over a year ago (yeah, I went with the canon), and I've been having fun with it ever since. Your photos all look pretty good, I'd say you've got a knack for it. Props.

Yeh def, it makes my landscape shots have that tripod and trigure look, when I can afford a tripod hopefully i wont have to sharpen, or at the most do a veeery slight pass. Yeh I was stuck between the 350D and D70s, personally Nikon is my preference, but Canon's just as good, different cameras for different people I rekon. I like the results ur getting with your 350D too btw, you got awesome stuff up, keep up the good work! My two favorites of yours atm are:
Yes we do have some pretty killer ones. Most of the time I miss it cuz I'm just getting to work. Thanks for the compliments! Here's one from a wedding that same day:

Nothing super spectacular about the shot except a real cool location to have a wedding. Good times.
Same camera (Sony Cybershot)
Taken June this year
Its the view from a little dirt track that goes around through the trees. Was such a beautiful day for winter (australia here =p).

That looks like an awesome spot. Down in melbourne we've had a very dry winter, so a day like that wouldn't have been so unusual. That shot reminds me a lot of Lakes Entrance in Victoria, although I'm pretty sure that's not it... Where was it taken?
^^ Thats nice. It looks so natural yet also professional...like one of those set-up shots.. Anyway, v. nice =)
Thank you for your comment. It was a spontaneous shot after class yesterday while the winds were gusting around 50mph. My favorite source of light is by far the sun, and the only editing done was a slight levels adjustment and a little cloning to eliminate microscopic dust on my sensor.
