plus i remember when i sold a nine inch nails poster on ebay the winning bidder didnt pay i did a second chance offer for 2nd highest bid. i dont think thats a good idea nothing is really gonna be accomplished except his banning from ebay and perhaps since ebay is a contract one scalper will just have enough spare time to take him to court (ive seen cases of ebay taken to court because of a negative feedback, so wahts to stop a scalper form going to ebay)

Also, I am comming up from Philly for the show and was wondering what shows are like at the City Center, never been. Although from 6 rows center it probably doesn't matter much. And has Tool ever done anything "special" for a New York gig that you wouldn't normally see in the other cities.

The "special" may be in the setlist deviation since it's two shows. they have to recognize that most people who got a chance to buy tix were getting both nights and hopefully will react to that with some new songs, new to this tour or new as in from 10000 days and also new ot the tour. so you may want to trade one of your awesome Saturday tix for a Friday ticket.
they better react with some new songs or Im gonna start thinking this isnt the real Tool up there....

dude dont kill yourself emotionally, just show up and hope for the best, someone in another city got a ticket day of the show at the ticket window! Try going up to the box office and ask them if they have standing room tickets.

check craigslist sometimes you can find them for about 200 a pair there.

Anyone who can help......I have tickets for the show on the 20th and was going to stay at a Hotel near the Meadowlands in Secacus(about $300 a night cheaper), take the bus into the city from the hotel and take a cab back to the hotel after having a couple of drinks after the show.
1. How hard is it going to be for me to get a cab into Jersey from NY, especially at 2-3am?
2. What will the cab ride cost? It's only 4 miles from midtown.

check ebay then. usually good tickets go for about 500 a pair. i can try to help you find a good deal if you want ive been monitering the market for awhile (out of curiosity) and prices seem to be rather stable now.

the prices are gonna start dropping once the show becomes closer and closer. The scalpers who dont sell there ticks will be desperate to get rid of them so you will prob be able to negotiate a resonable price.

Why didnt you try for Chelsea Hotel- 150 bucks a night, theres hotels in Queens for 100 bucks a night for ex. PanAmerican on Queens Blvd which is a short walk away from the subway. 2 dollar ride or about 15 bucks for a taxi from midtown/downtown. I would never stay in Secaucus if I had those options...

I recommend it for people who want somewhere to stay for cheap. It is only less than 10 minute walk from the venue and about the same from Port Authority. You don't have to be a member to stay. It's a hostel, so you won't have the same accomodations as a hotel but you will have shelter and some cool stuff to do inside if you get bored. The $$ and location are worth it.

edit- if you hold out there might be people getting rid of their tickets for face or less outside the show. Also remember, this falls on Subway Series weekend, driving down the potential demand even further...

8 days away... nice. So, I'm probably splitting an expensive room 4 ways with friends, or, I might just train in on NJ Transit each night (North Jersey Coast Line.) Anyone else coming up from NJ, we could meet on the train with drinks and head over to the City Center together. I'll be hopping on the train in Belmar and heading up to Penn Station.
