uhh they want to go too and understand that its sold out, and tickets are much more expensive on ebay...............
no problem, I have no problem understanding. I didn't have to make that choice but if I did, I wouldn't pay ridiculous prices to scalpers, that's all. For every person like me who'd pass on that opportunity, and wait for the arena show, there's you who will enable the people price gouging on eBay. I am absolutely sure the experience will be worth it and immeasurable in terms of $$$ as long as $$$ aren't the issue. But if I was going to do that, I wouldn't sit back and say "oh, I'm only selling them for THIS much, less than MOST scalpers," you might as well try and sell for as much money as you can get because hey, you DID offer to buy that person a beer, right? That should be a fun exchange. We can just agree to disagree, it's not going to affect our perspective of the music and that's what I'm excited about.
anyways, I'll get back on topic and say these two shows are gonna be monsters as this place is 2750 at most, maybe less if Tool is setting anything up that's gonna take some of the seats out. Are you guys psyched that it seats? I'm ok either way, although I'll be more thrilled about NYC's reserved seating venue if I hear that the show Friday at The Joint is a clusterfuck since every show I've seen there is GA and it's really small. Not enough room is these small places for a bunch of @ssholes to be pushing all over the place.
Hi everybody. I desperatly need 1 ticket for either New York show.I have been a big Tool fan for so long and I'm the webmaster of this fansite:
http://thegrudge.cjb.net
Please check it out. I'm currently in New York visiting and will be leaving in June.I was so excited to be here in time for the Tool show. However, after trying for 4 hours online and on the phone, I couldn't buy a single ticket. This is my only chance ever of seeing my favourite band live.I would be extremely grateful if somebody can sell me his extra ticket for a reasonable price. Thanks.
I'm currently watching an auction on Ebay and it's only at 255 for 2 tickets, and there is less than 24 hours left! One of the better deals i've seen! i hope the price doesn't go up too much higher. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6626255886&rd=1&sspage name=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Be careful buying from scalpers, we should have a horror section of all the people that got ripped off by scalpers, maybe that would kill their business a little...
And btw when you get ripped off on your ebay tickets, the seller (if he is still around) will give you the line that he was RESELLING a ticket he got from someone etc. so he had no idea it was a bogus/cancelled ticket blah blah blah. You will NEVER get your money back and ebay won't lift a finger.
giving away NYC Tool tix on NYC's 92.3 Krock (Opie and Anthony), but they have NO ONE willing to come in to studio as of 7:50 AM. They want your girl to crawl through some mousetraps for em. Ouch.
edit: tix still being given away on Monday. I think if you email [email protected], one of their producers, he'll tell you what's what as far as going in there.

cant you file mail fraud though? and if it paymnet was through paypal, cant you get get some help from them for fraud?
i am looking to trade a 5/19 for a 5/20 ticket... i need to get my friend into the 5/20 show as he cant make the 5/19 (sorry, but i still have a taker for the 5/19 if i cant get a trade going)...
yeah sure you can file for fraud, and nothing will come from it just look at the disclaimers ebay includes to cover their asses. Also google "ebay fraud" and see how many people get ripped off on ebay transactions. There was a big article in NY Times about it few months ago.

Just got 2 tickets for the Sat night show. 6 rows back for $250....I can't even believe the deal, it was from a fellow TDN member. Thanks.
Also, I am comming up from Philly for the show and was wondering what shows are like at the City Center, never been. Although from 6 rows center it probably doesn't matter much. And has Tool ever done anything "special" for a New York gig that you wouldn't normally see in the other cities.
Thanks

well said, its just not fair that people take advantage of other people...but i guess thats the kind of world we live in...i mean c'mon some of the prices are fucken ridiculous...some BUY IT NOWS on ebay are $1200!!! and obviously someone who has the cash is gonna buy it...
anyways, my offer still stands....radiohead tickets...yankee tickets...or cash...lemme know
For 1200 Dollars you could have a very wonderful travel in France and you could go in GRENOBLE in FRANCE and see TOOL for 33 EUROS that is 40 Dollars!!
everything is crazy in this world!!! sorry about my words
and you could see our wonderful mountains for the same price

Well, I wouldn't expect any deviations from the setlist that they've been playing just because they're in NYC. However, when they played Radio City in 2002, it was the first time they covered "Commando". That was pretty cool to see.

Hey, just out of curiosity, has anyone been to one of these smaller-venue Tool shows before? Does the visual performance match up to their stadium shows or should I expect something a little bit more low-key? This will be my first time seeing Tool live, and I'd much rather just dive into the deep end.

I was at both King Crimson shows in Seattle in 2001. They used the same videos and some lights, but they only had one large video screen rather than the two they had the potential to use.
I'd say it was probably because of the smaller size of the stage. I haven't seen any pictures from any of the small shows this year, but I'd guess that if the stage happens to be smaller, they'll just cut the screens down from 4 to 3. In other words, you'll still be seeing a good visual show.

Yeah, I figure they'll tear the place down regardless of the screen setup they have. I'm just stoked that I was fortunate enough to score tickets for both shows. They could do an acustic set for all I care (actually, that would be pretty damn cool).
Also, I was at BB Kings club last night to see Schism (local cover band, pretty talented in their own right), and it seems like a lot of the locals here are ready to pop in anticipation of the return of the real thing. That weekend is gonna be monstrous!

Question about orchestra seats: Is it standing room, or are there seats down there? I'm not down there so I dont really give 3 shits, but just wondering how that jank works.

The friggin ebay scams are killing me..... I am so pissed about possibly getting ripped off that I am resigned to the fact that I won't be going to the f*ckin show. If anyone runs into an extra ticket PM me... Thanks
I know I am taking a shot in the dark here... I've been a Tool fan since Aenima over 10 years ago but i've never been to a show. I've been bending over backwards trying to get these tickets since they went on sale. I am financially strapped to meet these scalper demands. If any of you fellow TDN members could offer or find me a better deal (financially) to me than what's out there I'd sell my soul. Heck, if you'd care to attend with me i'll drive, supply amazing sticky, and party with you all night (not like i'm all that important ;p). I need to see this show and I'm getting nervous as the 19th/20th approaches. I'd love to be as lucky as some of you, please please please consider my request. - pm or email @ [email protected]
