anyone notice that the starting time for these 2 shows is 9:30? i just find that a bit strange, but i guess it guarantees a 2-and-a-half hour performance for both evenings.

I've never seen a show go until 12, I'm not sure if I've even seen a show go past 11 (well maybe 11:10.) Often bands are cut off at 11 due to restrictions. So I was figuring along the lines of a 1 and a half hour performence, unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong.

1 and a half hours is WAY too short... it has to at least be 2 hours.
WOW... place is definitely sick. First time checking the board so I'm sure a lot of people have the same story as I over the past 20 pages... royally f'd by TM for Philly (actually had assigned seats, and got kicked out,) so then I hopped on board for the City Center shitshow circus with the site crashes and fucked phone lines. Got through one time, around 2, and got some tix and then got on the web once they took Tool off of the main page. The URL for each show still worked, and I was able to snag 2 more for each day before other people figured it out, I guess. DId everyone who was at the box office get what they wanted? I almost hopped in my car and drove into the city...
anyways, looking forward to this ofr a long time, and this venue looks like it kills...
Did you end up with four tickets? I'm hearing people who exceeded the two ticket limit will have their orders cancelled. I am going to the show in Denver but I am really getting worried about the ticket limit thing. My mom and I weren't together but we both planned to try to get tickets, thinking MAYBE one of us would get lucky enough to get ANY. Miraculously (sp?), we both got through, but I'm scared we're going to have our tickets cancelled due to same name and same address. My plan was to sell the other two to people on here (granted my mom is okay with that, since she DID buy them), but now I'm afraid neither of us will get any tickets.
I don't know if you have two or four, it sounds like four, so I just wanted to pass along what I've heard.
If all those ticket orders are all cancelled, what the hell will happen next? Will they redo a whole other sale with the tickets that were cancelled or something? Because that would be awesome. =D

Well, I will be going no matter what because my boyfriend got two also. But, my friends who were counting on me won't get to go if that happens. :(:(

I dunno though, it seems like cancelling so many tickets would be a huge undertaking, a little too huge for the city center to handle. They couldn't even sell them properly...
they most likely won't cancel the tickets. i accidentally ended up with 5 tickets in my check out cart and they even called me to make sure i wanted that many. i asked, 'am i allowed to get that many?' and she said yeah it was no problem, she just wanted to make sure i meant to order them (which i really didn't, just needed one of each night for myself, but i didn't wanna release them to some dirty scalpers when REAL fans here could have them) they are gone by the way, already promised the extras away.
anyway, somehow the 2 ticket limit turned into 6, the lady on the phone said my 5 was fine, so you shouldn't have to worry about your order being cancelled.

he said he can give me a pair for $200 for the saturday show but the single ticket he has for friday night is going for $195.. Unless he meant that the tickets for both nights are $195. Why the fuck didn't I go to the box office on saturday like I had planned =(

I called and the guy said I'll be just fine since it's all done via order numbers. Hopefully he knows what he's saying. :/
Has New York City started putting heat on ticketing agencies?
It seems like Stubhub doesn't have a single NYC Center ticket...same thing with the brokers.
If pressure from the law or investigation is a reason for them not selling it may be possible for other cities to prevent this.

I don't know what shows you go to, but I've been to plenty that go past midnight. the only reason a band would stop early would be a curfew...but this isn's a kid's show so I doubt it...I'm thinking they'll play for 2 hours or so...

I still need 1 for NYC shows - either show.
this broker is still selling nyc tickets... rather expensive too.
i know i am going to at least one night
the saturday if my ticket is still safe..me thinks it is
the friday still up in arms but i think so :)
thank god for the good souls at TN

wow, i have seen many shows go past 11 and midnight... i have even been to shows at som venues that dont start untill 11... i think it will be a normal tool show, i believe it is starting late becuase the venue still have an event at one of the other stages at 7:30, this way that can be done by 9 (i assume) and then tool can start and rock...venues will have curfews like that due to union restrictions, but i doubt this venue has to worry about it...

don't this so, stubhub is not a ticket broker, brokers are actually 100% legal and have to be licensed, stub hub is just a market place used for people to sell their tickets...
anybody with orchestra seats willing to trade for mezzanie seats
LOL. Thanks for the laugh.
But anyway, I'm flying up from Baton Rouge, Louisiana for these shows. I'm meeting a couple of old TOOLArmy friends up there, one of which is coming all the way from Arizona. This promises to be a very memorable weekend. See y'all there.
go f*ck your self lol. ebay is cheaper. (not you but the broker...)
actually i belive brokers charge what the people who have the tickets want them to charge and then they through a fee on top or get a percentage (more likely) so it is actually the people who set the price, but fuck them both becuase the brokers allow them to charge this much...
the only thing that improves sound quality at a concert would be the venue.
speaking of recording, this place has what I assume are headphones and/or seats you'd plug said headphones into for people needing hearing assistance. I'm sure I read that on the website, and since old fuckers go to a lot of plays, it's probably true. I know that the guys who rip films and telesync them sit in those seats at the movies and plug right into the headphone jacks and record. I don't know shit about how to go about this but I know there's some recording-savvy people who could probably come away with something nice.
i assume tapers are discreet at a Tool show, has anyone ever seen someone and hwo they've set their gear up at one?

I've gone to around 50 concerts in my life and work at a concert hall and the only concerts I've seen go past 12 are Mexican Festivals which don't start until 11:30.
