that i might be willing to trade for a respectable NYC seat (either date). maybe for another orchestra or maybe even the mezzanine. PM me if you're interested.
yea i second that. we got f'd in the a so they could make money off the handling fees? real cool. but i guess at least its more likely that real fans got tix for this show, bc i dont think scalpers wouldve been as persistent in dealing with the atrocity that is city center
there was about 40 scalpers in front of us on line, half of them slept in the streets and the other half showed up in the morning with their scimp, scolding them. yep they were pretty persistant all right..
and if you dont mind me putting my own opinion looks like mezz is better than orchestra
WOW... place is definitely sick. First time checking the board so I'm sure a lot of people have the same story as I over the past 20 pages... royally f'd by TM for Philly (actually had assigned seats, and got kicked out,) so then I hopped on board for the City Center shitshow circus with the site crashes and fucked phone lines. Got through one time, around 2, and got some tix and then got on the web once they took Tool off of the main page. The URL for each show still worked, and I was able to snag 2 more for each day before other people figured it out, I guess. DId everyone who was at the box office get what they wanted? I almost hopped in my car and drove into the city...
anyways, looking forward to this ofr a long time, and this venue looks like it kills...
a charge for the tickets is on my credit card bill....but I never saw a confirmation page on the city center website, nor have I received a confirmation email (yet)...what's going on?
yea... i'm interested to hear how the seats panned out for the crazy mofos that waited all night in the rain.
see you all may 19th!!!!!!!!!!!!
they were all over the place, i got two rear mezzanine (second row center) yet two guys next to me got single orchestras?? i am guessing there were some single orchestras available?

I am in the same boat; however, I called the venue, and I was told that they saw my order in the system. The man said they were sending out emails, but it might take awhile to get them all out. He also gave me my order number.

ok, i just called, my order is through! the system just got too much traffic today....but now I'm excited. and my day has just gotten a lot better.
the continental arena had the WORST sound possible and keeps proving itself of this time and time again. also the g.a. is divided by a gate. they do ask you if you want vip g.a. or regular so you really have no way of knowing until you show up ...horsepoop i tells yeah
yeah the split up floor was the worst, i think if u got the tix at the CAA box office you were "VIP" otherwise you were in the reg (back) section... i was right up front on the back section and the sound was good to me...
I read the posts on this board this morning as I was dealing with the overburdened and ill-equipped City Center website and phonelines. I got rear mezzanine tickets once, but the damn website wouldn't load while I was trying to check out and the tickets got released back into the pool. I ended up with front gallery tickets. This will be my first time seeing Tool live.

iactually called the box office at 2:00pm today not even knowing the tickets were onsale, i was calling to see WHEN the tickets were going onsale...im so pissed i dont have access to the internet except at friendshouses/library...i am soo pissed i also signed up at toolarmy and wasnt even notified
I got a shitty ticket to Pearl Jam on June 1 at Meadowlands(upper level, corner section away from stage), that Im willing to trade for shitty ticket anywhere inside the house for Tool. I was there for 10/1-2 2001 at MSG, real fan, not scalper- going to Coachella next week, Chicago in two weeks(got a ticket on TM- miracle!)

wow... this show was obviously way behind hammerstein ballroom's 30 sec. sellout in 2001.
The reason it took so long because it was some inefficient. The website didn't work, the phone lines were jammed, and the only reliable option seemed to be the box office. It certainly would have sold out in a minute if everything was run properly.
im just curious, what time did you get? what number in line where u? what sections where your seats in?
i was going to get there at 5 am this morning, but decided against it...
Just got up from a much needed nap. I got there about 10:30 last night and i would estimate that i was somewhere between 100 to 150 back with a lot of fluctuating shadiness up front. Ultimately, it was hard to tell how many people were in front of me because it took so damn long for them to crank those tix out. My seats are Mid Mezz for both nights- not the best in the house but definitely not the worst either, and i got tickets and that is all that really matters to me. There will be no price gouging here from me. I am afraid that i just really want to see tool and having developed such a deep pathological hatred for scalpers over the night, i coulnt imagine selling any of my tix for what they are now worth to me. Good luck with your search people. I will be sure to let the board know if any extras do develop. Congrats to all who got em, sorry to all who did not. It was such a crap shoot today but ultimately withstanding the miserable weather paid off. OUT.

yeah but if you waited in line at the venue you would have gotten tickets. at around 9am an employee came out and counted who was in line. after that last person in line was the cut off. it was cash only and a two ticket maximum per person. it pays to wait in line unless it's the virgin megastore for a $2 bill show. ...
