Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Well, the floor has the ABILITY to be general admission, but they certainly can put seats and rows in there as well. And we know how much Tool likes putting seats where the "pit" would usually be, so I woudn't be so sure.
Plus that would be a HUGE pit area...I doubt the band would approve of that.

Hmmm...wondering if anyone with tickets to Nokia, L.A. , Dec 10...is interested in the barter system :) One ticket for one night at the Marriott Downtown L.A. or two tickets...for two nights. Check out Marriott.com...they are $259 a night rooms...get back to me ASAP...as I need to make early reservations.

Yup...because I was totally being serious...nothing like wanting to literally make out with someone over forums. Mmmm does it get better than that? I'm going to go smell my flatulence and drink some Dom, but I'll be there on Dec 11!!!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
HEY FYI ticketmaster just had one of its legendary "ticket dumps" last night for the Denver 11-21 show. I got GA tickets last night!!! if you need tickets i would at least still check to see if they have anymore (must select GA on ticket form). i would also check other dates Ticketmaster has cuz if they dumped tickets for our show they might have done the same for others. JUST FOR YOUR INFO

Ya never know. The Idaho Center Arena show here in 2002 was open floor, and thats a pretty huge floor. Pretty sure it will be this time as well.

Has there been any word on whether or not these are the last dates of the tour? I remember Justin saying it was going to go until Feb or so, and where Danny had another procedure done, perhaps that delayed it. I find it hard to believe that they won't play Madison Square Garden or another date in NYC this tour.

Live105, is there going to be a presale for Tool tomorrow?
"There will be no presale for Tool. The show will be all GA"
And yet as elcielo612 pointed out in last weeks Live105 email (i missed it completely), they had stated at the bottom "COMING UP ON LIVE 105 Stay tuned for next week's email with your Tool presale info.."
Unfortunately the acoustics inside the SF Civic Center are not that good.
Nokia show in LA is going to be nice. I wish we had a venue like that.

Last time they came to SLC they had chairs; this time its GA. With chairs, everyone ripped them up to which 'nard said "If anyone gets hurt I'm leaving. No one should get hurt over a couple of rock songs" or something like that. After the show, he put on his jacket, zipped it up and walked of while Danny, Adam and Justin did the group hug thing and waived to the crowd.

I don't know why this keeps happening... I keep finding all this good news for the San Fran guys....this could be your answer on whether or not it will be G.A. ....
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

This was the response I got from the guys at Bill Graham Civic today.
yeah i emailed him too haha, seemed like a cool dude. He said you could also go down to the fillmore and get tix because its a live nation show 10am sunday. But ssshhhhh on that ;) Think there would be a pretty big line on sunday? Or should me and my buddies just duke it out on line?
-I think that re-seller site is bullshit, they don't have tickets yet. And if they do, I know exactly what I'm doing with that handy journalism degree...
-And I've heard the complete opposite about the Bill Graham acoustics-wise! My buddy saw APC there and was pretty damn impressed by the sound!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Both the Sharks and Warriors are at home on Dec 11th.
Blair, Maynard: ALERT! - postpone the Bay Area show and play in a better venue. Please. Play the Oakland Coliseum on Dec 12th or 13th. Or the Shark tank on the 12th or 14th.
I saw APC at the Civic as well. And the sound wasn't bad. You're right. But Tool plays a much louder show. And those walls are going to be bouncing that sound every which way.
I also have seen the RHCP, Jane's Addiction, The White Stripes, Velvet Revolver and an assortment of other bands there. The acoustics are poor. I may just have to be happy with the Sept 3, 2006 concert.

The Shark tank has sounded pretty good in my experiences...STP, The Who.
Definitely Shoreline has the best sound of any large venue in the Bay Area. It's just that in December...it could be a clear night, or it could be raining and cold.

Patience is a virtue!!! Im gona play the waiting game...mhm. Still cant get tix for the Dec. 10th show on ticketbastard and im not gona buy from scalpers until its my last resort. I know they're not gona end this tour in f-ing S.F. So im hoping they come back to L.A. for the last hoorah!!!

anyone in my vacinity?
Somewhat close, I'm at Floor B, row 16. Should be a great show, somehow a friend of mine managed to get Floor B, row 3 by ordering through normal methods when tickets went on sale.
